I just had a need to reference this for the first time. I guess real manuals from "the old days" are gone... growing up, I had a half dozen assorted Haynes and Mitchell hardbound manuals that were 'gold' when working on all my projects. This book is really nothing more than a second-hand PDF that's been thrown into a pretty soft cover binding. They didn't even bother to reconcile page numbers-- each PDF "original" has a page number, as does the "book" page... and they're different. So, for example, if you want to go to original manual page 12-5, you might also be on book page 64 (those are just hypothetical example numbers... I don't have the book in front of me to provide a specific set of numbers... but every page in the book has this oddity. Also, pic quality is very poor, even as compared to the phone book paper used in my original 45 year old Haynes manuals. This book might help some, but you can get significantly better info (and picture quality... and videos) from Mister Google.

A must have manual if you own a Series 3 Land Rover. Everything about anything you need to know.

The diagrams have numbers, but the numbers have no key, and are not linked to the text. It looks like they pasted two manuals together: one with text and the other with pictures. You would be better off getting the Haynes manual.

The commercial books and manuals are all well and good, but if you REALLY need the complete and unadulterated low-down on how to fix something on your Landie, then THIS is the book to get, and is, by the way, the same book as the engineers in the garages refer to as well. Written by the guys that designed and built the Landie, the diagrams are clear and easy to understand; the steps it gives to perform the jobs are clear, concise, and easy to understand, and the data on the Landie, and the tools required, is simply amazing. If you do your own maintenance, DIY, or whatever, on your Landie, get this book. It's well worth its' weight in gold.

doing a refurb or rebuild? don't hesitate, just buy it!

This is a great book if you own an S3. Comes looking quite clean, but a good few oily sessions will cure that. Note that in many cases whilst this book is excellent the parts manual trumps it for giving exploded diagrams of parts when you can't work out how to take something apart (or put it back together again!).

fast delivery, but I need to take a degree in to how to understand some of it!!! I've Gone back to looking in my Haynes book!! Much easier to understand
