Does not seal tight - get one from the manufacturer, as it's worth the extra cost.
This aftermarket duckbill leaked slightly. I had replaced the duckbill and rebuilt the pump, but the pump kept running. I bought a new pump and it still wouldn't shut off. Then I replaced the pressure switch - same result. Went back and checked every connection again and found the "new" duckbill still slightly leaking. Ordered one directly from Dometic and problem solved. Could have saved several hundred dollars if I would have just bought the OEM part instead - at least my unit is all new now.....

Do not use in front of pump (or at all)
Even though these appear to be the same as the oem type, they are not. They are stiffer and don't seal the vacuum as well as the Dometic brand. I replaced all four of the duck bill valves on my Vacuflush generator because it was cycling often (every 15 minutes). Once I replaced them, it would not stop running. Thinking that it must be another component that was worn, I began replacing other items. First the bellows, then the pick-up tube, then the vacuum switch, then the intake collar, then the toilet seals and funnel. The unit would cycle and stop, then after 3 - 4 hours it would cycle again and not stop until I flushed the toilet to let some water through the system. It continued on this pattern and I got to the point of only turning on the power when I needed to flush. Finally, I broke down and purchased the OEM (Dometic) duck bill valves(2) and replaced the two between the tank and the pump. Now the only time it cycles is when the toilet is flushed. I left the 2 iFJF duck bills in after the pump (between the pump and the discharge hose). This seems an ok location to use them.Bottom line: The iFJF valves ended up costing me a lot of time, money and frustration. Go for the OEM brand.
