I was looking for a replacement herb to kondari in Georgian cuisine and bought this Summer Savoury Leaf just to try. Since I got it, I have become addicted to it. Extremely aromatic but the same time very subtle. It is a universal herb.

I use savoury herb in stews, casseroles, Italian dishes..it gives body and flavour to many recipes. However I find it difficult to source so I was thrilled to find it here and a decent sized pack too. I will definitely use this company again.

The product I received today had neither perfume nor taste. It appeared to me like dried up old stock and I binned it. I should have sent it straight back. Lesson? Don't be fooled by a heavy price tag.

Unfortunately, it is not chopped finely enough and even after 1.5 hours cooking, you feel the bits when you eat it.

Got the savory for a Bulgarian friend of mine who ran out. It is the major spice in their cuisine. He opened it, took a whiff, and said, "oh, yes, this is the good stuff". 😀Very pleased. Thank you.
