WFCO WF-8725-PB Black 25 Amp Power Center

Used this to replace the unit in our 2007 StarCraft 2108 pop up camper. Easy to install and gave 1 extra AC 15 amp breaker. It fit right into the original location with no changes. Documentation is online. Works great and hopefully will continue to work, we will see,

It was a perfect fit and was easy to work with. After upgrading to this (which was the least expensive vs the camping component websites) all of my electrical is working properly and better then before. The 3 stage charging system made short work of the deep cell battery that was completely drained out. I know i will be ordering another one in the future when i get my next camper that i will be completely overhaul (a 1997 with a lot of water damage). Good quality product.

There is very little room for wiring up the two circuit breakers, and the instructions aren't very clear (I had to contact support from WFCO). Otherwise it works well (I don't have a battery so I didn't test those features) and it's very quiet.

The instructions tell you to wire the shore AC hot onto the hot bar directly. That way you don't have a main breaker. This will technically work, but you have to make sure that the combined amperage of breakers does not exceed 30 amps. Otherwise you're at the mercy of the 30 year old campground breaker you're hooked up to to prevent you from frying your 30 amp cord or dying in a horrible fire. It's way better to wire the AC black wire (hot) onto the screw side of a 30 amp breaker. This breaker will now become an actual main breaker and you can shut off the whole unit with this one. Insert a tandem 15/15 or even 20/20 breaker, and connect your rv circuits to these.So far a good unit for the price, but calling something a main breaker doesn't make it a main breaker. Feeding shore power into the unit through a breaker makes it a main breaker. 5 stars for the quality at this price, but minus 2 stars for the instructions/wiring.

This was the exact product I needed - I confirmed it with the company before I ordered. I was replacing an old Elixir model so the hookups were in slightly different places causing some of the wires to have very little play for hookup, but overall, it went well and solved our electrical problem.

This controller charges the camper battery as it should. After a fast charge, it switches to a trickle charge or float voltage so you can leave your camper plugged in without damaging the battery.

I am only giving this a 2 Star because the description that says.." and replaces Elixir ELX20/25. " should say "can replace with cutting modifications". The Elixir ELX-25, came in my Jeep Extreme Trailer made by Livin Lite gave out, needed replacing with no replacement available! The Elixir is not made any more and the company that bought them out has no idea when a replacement will be available. The replacements are sitting in a container out on the Pacific with no ETA. The problem: The ELX-25 cut hole is 10-1/8" x 5-13/16" and in the Jeep Camper this is surrounded by 1"x1" aluminum square stock framing. The 8725p needs a cut hole of 10-7/16 x 6-1/16" and the 8735p needs a cut hole of 10-1/16" x 6-13/16". The 8725p is both too wide and too tall, while the 8735p is just too tall. The aluminum frame needs to be cut to get it either one to fit with the 35p being the less amount of work. So.. pay attention to the cut hole sizes. On the positive With the 8735p the wiring was straight forward and well labled, components appear to be way better built than the Elixir, but the case is cheep plastic.

Worked great as a replacement for Elixir ELX 5, only had to slightly enlarge the hole and all the breakers and fuses fit. Don't follow the directions that say to route your shore power through a breaker ( which is actually backwards of normal breaker use...) connect it to the heavy black wire that feeds the main bus bar that the breakers mount to.

Replaced an Elixir 25. Works great, and charges quickly. The space for the breakers is a lot smaller than the elixir. Took quite a bit of effort to organize the wires.
