Wow, what a deal!
What a deal! I use several Greenworks tools. I have the mower (self propelled), edger/trimmer, blower and hedge trimmer.This battery works perfectly on all of my Greenworks tools.This battery is lighter and last longer then the factory battery of the same value.I’m all fairness I only owned it for a few weeks and charged it four or five times so we’ll see what happens over a long period of time. So far I’m very, very pleased with the performance and certainly the price.

Doesn't work reliably
My one-year-old 80v Greenworks 4.0Ah battery was no longer able to keep my mower running long enough to mow my entire lawn (it did the first summer, so I was disappointed it no longer could the second summer). So I bought this 2.5 Ah battery so I could finish up the yard. However, the very first time I used it, the mower stopped after one pass as though the battery had died. I clicked the button to check the battery level, and all three lights lit, indicating it was full. So I put the battery back in, the mower once again started right up, and then after another pass, it quit again. And this kept happening. Just in the last 10 minutes I needed to complete my lawn, I estimate this battery quit 12 times. I am therefore returning it and purchasing the name-brand Greenworks battery.

not fully charged at purchase..... but has come to life
Update: Battery is running my 80V Greenworks chainsaw about what you'd expect with a 2.5 aH battery.It was a bit lethargic at purchase but i gave it a couple of use cycles, and it rose to full battery life and works great. Lasts about 25% longer than the 2.0 battery that came with the saw, but in fact, it may be an exact clone as some others mention. Having 2 batteries is the way to go. Love this product--and for the price you can't beat it. At least for use with their chainsaw: I'm very happy with it!18 month update:battery is still going strong!! maybe past 200 cycles!

Do not buy for Greenworks Pro 80V Lawn Mower
This battery might be OK for other tools, but not the lawn mower. They shut off mower after cutting about 20 feet of grass. Other reviewers agree.

Works great
Not sure how many years this battery will last, but hopefully longer than the Greenworks name brand (only 2 years). Who knew converting to battery-powered lawnmower would keep costing so darn much.
