I purchased my 2000 Sea Ray 180 used a few years ago and it didn't come with a Bimini top. There are lots of no-wake zones where we go boating and hot summer days can be tough with no shelter! I was actually shopping around on another site (about to drop $500.00) on a similar Bimini top when I decided to check on Amazon. The XGEAR only had about 9 reviews, but they were all 5-star. I matched up the dimensions I'd found for my boat, chose the teal color to match my interior, and crossed my fingers as I hit "Buy It Now". It arrived a few days later and I have to say, I am more than impressed. The fit, finish, quality, and color are all excellent. The material is actually much thicker than I'd anticipated. It's worth noting the the teal color was exactly what I was hoping for. It looked like a darker green in some of the photos, but it is indeed my definition of teal and looks exactly like it does in the two photos I posted with my review. PERFECT match to the aftermarket teal piping on my boat. I tried it out for the first time on Sunday and it worked like a charm. Plenty of shade to go around, and it felt nice and sturdy even at cruising speeds. I'll report back if anything changes, but at this point I saved hundreds of dollars and I am thrilled with my purchase.

Be sure you read the small print. Just because it says marine grade doesn't mean it will not leak. But so far this product seems to be really nice, good quality, no leaking and shades us really well when it is sunny out. Just be sure you compare the product reviews and the double overlapped stitching to keep it from leaking if you are caught in the rain makes a huge difference. • Made of marine-grade 600D polyester canvas. Fit good on my boat according to fitting instructions Read reviews and people said instructions were to vague. If you know anything about how a Bimini top works. It was very simple to assemble and mount on my boat. Just remember you are putting it together upside down to slide bows in. Then flip it over and mount it. One person. I did it myself. One more person would be helpful flipping it and laying it where it needs to be. Then drill the holes and mount brackets. Always measure twice and drill once. Then my tie down brackets, I put them 50 inches in front and 50 inches behind main mount

Perfect for my eleven and a half foot boat. It was next to nothing to install. Modified it to be 9" lower and quick release the back straps to let it fold forward, so I can stand to fight fish.

So.. it looks great and works fine. The problem is that it was incredibly noisy for our first outing. All the joints squeak and groan. It bothered me so much that I took it apart again and greased all the joints. I drilled pilot holes and put 3 self tapping screws about 120° apart. It worked and now is nearly silent. It was plenty of extra work to get it to where it is. Like I said, it looks good and works fine now. Materials feel high quality. I'll give it a mixed review.

This is a very nice Bimini. Super simple installation and looks very good on our 1986 restored classic all wood 14’ Garvey. It was like it was made custom for our boat. I did order rear support polls for it so we can either have it up or stored in the boot and out of the way. Really didn’t need the rear support poles, but it will be a nice look if we decide to run it in the boot while out to get some sun. If you are handy, you can have it up in about an hour. Measure twice mount once!! Worked out perfect and is the perfect size for our boat. Thank for a nice top!!
