Quite bummed when we used this at the beach. I do love the loops and anchors to hold it down. Those were perfect. However the mat is thin and gets extremely hot. We needed to add our other padded blanket on top of it just to be able to sit or lie down. Sand free? Nope. When we went to leave we shook that thing over and over and the sand would not come off the back. We finally gave up and just folded it, sand and all, and put it back in the bag. It is easy to fold and what is nice is that you can pretty much fold it anyway to go back in the bag. Not sure we will use this again at the beach because the sand sticks to it.

I am not sure where they get "sandproof" as the static cling it creates causes sand to stick to the underside. It does however, brush off the tope easily and compared to a towel, it is a much better beach option. I like that it is lightweight so you can throw in your backpack or day bag and throw it out on beach or grass and stay comfortable while sitting on the ground.It is hard to get it folded back up and into the bag, it would be nice if there was just a bit more room in the carry case, but we usually just wad it up and clean/fold when we get home, since the static of the material attracts tiny grains that refuse to come loose without really shaking and wiping it off.

If you have a big family with kids and go out for beaches or parks regularly this beach mat / blanket is a must have. Especially during this corona pandemic time it’s not safe to go out and sit outside on benches, on grass or on sand at beaches. this blanket is sturdy and fits anywhere. easy to clean and wash as well. I just wish the material was more thicker. But So far good no major issues. Good beach blanket / mat for outdoor use.

Packs small & light. Sand brushes off.But it's just woven nylon, no cushion like the little a blanket or plush towel gives. Dogs wouldn't lay on it due to the 'feel' of it (spoiled right?) and the included pegs were worthless as far as keeping it from wanting to blow away.We ended up parking our trucks close to each other (4x4 beach) and then just tying this to the sides of each to make a shade cover. It was perfect for that!

These mats were great and did the job for us at the beach this summer. We laid our beach towels on them and they really helped keep our towels sandfree and comfortable all day long. They are easy to set up, light weight and come with their own storage bag. Loved these mats so much that ordered more of them to give to my siblings and friends (they all loved them too and found them very useful at the beach)!

Just what I wanted for our beach vacation. easily packable, lightweight, didn’t rip with chairs and walking on it. Easy to shake sand and water off. I brought two Columbia bags to put sand it to tack town corners so I didn’t use the corner pockets or the stakes. Saw another girl at the beach with the same one. Would buy again.

This blanket served its purpose. We have used it once at the beach and it worked pretty well. It’s a decent size and easy to fold up and put away into its own little pouch.

This is NOT a sand free mat. If the wind is blowing strong enough then the sand will blow off but don’t get it if you want sand free. One of the straps to hold it in place broke on the second day we used it. Not impressed.
