I’m so impressed by how well this book was made!
Wow!!! I’m so so glad I got this book. We are expecting our first boy in August and as a white person I want to make sure he’s learning about important historical figures, especially about POC that have not been focused on in school systems. This book is so well made, is larger than I expected it to be, and is something even my husband I can learn from. Definitely glad we got this!!

My kid loves this book!
My son (8 years Old) will not put the book down! (he's a little tough to sit down and read at times) But ever since he first opened it, he's enjoyed reading each heroes section over and over. It's well written and the illustrations are amazing! My son loves to compare each character to someone in the house. He wishes they made toys of these characters. The artist has captured the qualities of each hero in such a way that words need not explain their accomplishments. My son and I are looking forward to any future installments of the series. (btw, he squeezed this book into his small backpack this morning to show to his friends and teacher at school.) Highly recommended.

A Great Starter Book for Kids. One Point of Clarification....
The book does an outstanding job of showing children that heroes come in many forms. My son and daughter love the fact that I am included among some great individuals. For the next version of the book, please change the verbiage for Colonel Merryl Tengesdal to read, "1st and only African American Woman to fly the U-2 Aircraft, she proves the sky's the limit". I do not believe I was the first African American pilot to fly 70K feet in the air. The former statement is more accurate. Thank you so much for recognizing my accomplishments. If you have further questions, please DM me on Instagram (dragonlady788). Thank you.

GREAT WAY TO INTRODUCE MY DAUGHTER TO DIVERSE HEROES
My daughter is only 7 months but loves being read to already and this is more than the perfect book to expose her to diversity. She is asian/black/white american whom I know later on in life will question some of the stories she will hear in school. Thank you David for providing her a realistic option because there is not one side to each story and some stories are left untold. These stories need to be shared even more. Not to mention the colors automatically grasps her attention at a young age and the hard pages is easy for her to assist me in turning. She is at an age of discovery so it’s perfect all around.

A must have book for little ones
A friend recommended this book for my 7 yr old to learn about Heroes of Color while we're able to pursue some of our own curriculum. While the book is designed for slightly younger kids, this was a great start point for us to do a deeper dive into people of color whose lives and contributions are deeply under represented in the education system.Day One we were learning about Tracy Lewis and Ronald McNair. Thanks for making such a great book!

Good starting point, could use more info on each person.
This is a great resource. I do wish there was a bit more info about each hero and maybe about half as many people. Maybe a two part book? It just seams that each hero gets a bit lost on a page with 4 or 5 other people. We’ve ended up picking one person per page and then googling that person.

An incredible addition to my son’s library!
“Little Heroes of Color”...An incredible addition to my son’s library. Thank you David Heredia for illustrating examples of how heroes of all colors have collectively shaped the world and are important figures of our shared history. My son’s favorite hero is Ernie Barnes! I enjoyed reading it as much as he did.
