Lightweight and Foldable
The media could not be loaded. The iLiving USA - V8 Foldable Mobility Electric Scooter is a great little scooter for the price. I have researched many scooters and my requirements were that it was lightweight, foldable, easy to maneuver and that the batteries had a decent range.I have only used it once so far. But here are the things I considered Pros with this scooter:I didn’t have to buy another expensive battery. It is truly easily foldable, and fits in the back of my SUV or even in the backseat.I’m glad it isn’t any heavier - my husband can get it loaded in the car but not yet sure I can do.It will work for travel - including airlines and cruise ships. It is comfortable and easy to drive - it is 3 wheel, but it feels like I’m well-balanced. I’ve driven on sidewalks, streets and in dirt/gravel parking lots so far.I like that all the tires are solid - I don’t want to worry about a flat. It’s very easy to charge.Things I still need to do or check out:I want to get a basket for the back. There’s not anywhere to put things.I want to drive it for a longer time and make sure it stays charged for as long as it is supposed to.Note: As you may have read on other reviews the steering post/tiller can be raised and lowered according to your needs. When we raised the steering tiller and tried to lock it in place the plastic spacer in the latch snapped. Customer service (Mariana) responded to us right away and a replacement piece is being shipped to us. (She’s great!) She sent a video too that explains how to fix it. The video refers to the replacement piece as “rubber” - it would be great if it is rubber and isn’t brittle. Having said that, too bad the scooter didn’t come with a rubber spacer instead of plastic that would snap.In spite of this I have to give this scooter 5 stars. The freedom of being able to go out with my family again is so wonderful. I need to practice with it a bit more but it appears that this scooter is just the right size with just the right amenities for me. I will update my review as I use it more.

The Best Scooter I've Owned!
I have had my iLiving v-8 scooter for 15 months now and I love it! It's fun to ride and easy to maneuver. It is the easiest to operate, fold up and transport of the 4 scooters I have owned. I've taken it on multiple flights without a problem. There are a couple of design flaws but they are minor:First, on bumpy terrain the batteries sometimes shake loose, which causes the scooter to come to a dead stop. Fortunately that hasn't happened to me in the middle of a cross walk! I decided it would help to use the key that locks the batteries in place and leave them locked. But even with that precaution there have been a couple of times the batteries have still disconnected. I then have to turn the scooter off, push the batteries back down into place and turn the scooter on again. An inconvenience but not serious. The second problem has to do with locking the batteries in place to prevent theft. The manual indicates that is the purpose of using the key to lock them in place. But once they are locked in, the key cannot be removed. Which means that anyone could come along and unlock them and take the batteries. So this feature does not actually achieve what it was intended to do.But aside from these 2 small issues the scooter has worked perfectly. I would definitely buy one again!

Great little scooter!
Having owned this scooter for over a year now, we have used it for numerous trips including cruises and flights. The V8 is a well made, portable, and affordable scooter. Long lasting battery, good speed range. Folds quickly and easily to the size of a suitcase. It gets many positive comments about it's size and portability. Light enough for one person to load in the trunk, and yes, it only weighs 40 pounds (I actually weighed it). Easy to gate check when flying, and narrow enough to navigate cruise ships with ease. Negatives: speed control and abrupt braking take some getting used to, no basket or means to carry anything unless purchased separately, can be tipsy if turned quickly or surface is not level, and solid wheels tend to amplify bumps. Overall, the V8 has been a great purchase, and I would buy it again! However, the travel cover that is sold separately does not fit the V8 well and I do not recommend it.

Has electrical problems
First, I have muscular dystrophy and this is the only scooter that I can still get in and out of my car. It’s the perfect size and weight. However, within the first month of owning the scooter the lights on the control board stopped working. I have no idea how much battery power is left. I emailed customer service and they were unable to resolve the issue.Since everything else still worked, and since this scooter allowed me to get back into the world, I kept it and called it a minor annoyance. However, a year after owning the scooter more electrical issues have sprouted up. Now, sometimes I have to turn it on and off a few times before it starts to work. More troubling, when it does work, the start and stop levers don’t work and the scooter continues to move on its own.Basically, this is a $1,500 a year product. I don’t think it’s built to last longer than that.

Very compact when folded and very light weight
Good scooter. I have some mobility issues involving walking distances and balance issues. Thus scooter has been used in a cruise ship and at Walt Disney World. Batteries seem to last forever. Speed is good. Very light weight compared to most scooters. Turning radius may be an issue at times, but with it being so light, I can just stand and lift the front wheel to point it in the direction I want to go. The fold up feature compacts the size into 17" x 17" x 32" tall which is great if you and friends want to sit in a booth for lunch, it can be folded and place next to the table without blocking access to the nooth.
