The SportRack SR5513 Folding Kayak Carrier features a simple and
exceptionally stable design, consisting of two adjustable"J"
shaped support elements, two heavy-duty side tie-down straps, and
tie-downs for the bow and stern of your boat.

The support elements connect to roof rack crossbars in seconds
using quick on/off hardware. The resulting hold is secure, and
allows for easy adjustment along the roof rack when using
additional roof rack accessories. To load kayaks, simply lift
them into place, with the cockpit pointed out. The three
rubberized contact points of the carrier elements protect the
exterior of kayaks from incidental damage, and hold them in place
as they are secured. Kayaks are cinched between the tops of the
stacking elements and rack crossbars using side tie-down straps.
Bow and stern straps secure the kayak at the front and rear of
the vehicle.
Each set of two SportRack SR5513 Folding Kayak Carrier elements
is designed to transport a single kayak, up to 75 lbs, and up to
36" wide. Multiple SportRack SR5513 carriers can be ed on a
single roof rack, assuming available space, and that the total
weight applied to the rack is within its capacity. When not in
use, support elements of the carrier can be quickly folded down
into an aerodynamic position using dual non-slip knobs. This
provides for improved clearance and fuel economy. Carrier support
elements can also be quickly removed entirely and stored in
vehicles. Optional cable locks and/or locking straps (sold
separately) can be used to secure the the carrier to a rack, and
secure kayaks to the carrier.
