the threads may have been cut a little deep to seal for some pipe fittings. I used it to mount a filter inside of a toolbox and run the piping in and out of box. one of them screwed all the way down and leaked. Yes i used thread tape

Nice quality, works as designed slight issue, the threads are not npt.

Used on low pressure pool system working ok. Little trouble to seal. Gaskets real soft. Don’t know if it would work on high pressure. Would be nice to know exact diameter of hole to drill. I used a hole saw that was close. Maybe could not find that exact diameter drill if had that dimension

I used this for a diesel tank project.The quality is excellent and the threads are smooth and strong.Comes with two flat rubber washers.

While the hose connection threads on, it is not compatible and will simply leak. Had to redesign an entire irrigation system to fix, and too bad for me that it is no longer eligible to return. Double check the compatibility with your system upon receipt.

The ubber washers are too small. You will def have to buy larger dia washers. And the hex side of the piece has no metal washer. So you'll have to buy a bushing as well. I like the brass being heavy duty but the design is weak. Add rubber washers and a bushing and youre good.

Bought this fitting to use in my solar hot water heater setup. Feels more than adequate in terms of durability. It does what it is supposed to do, feels thick, and heavy, rubber washers seem to be of good quality. No leaks yet, easy to install. Product as described. Would buy again if I need more, because it is a good value for the money.
