Astra Platinum Double Edge Safety Razor Blades, 50 Blades (10 x 5)

I have used these blades for years. I know they recently switched to be made in India. I received 50 authentic Russian blades for $7.60 shipped! If I were to use these blades exclusively this pack of 50 would last meet 2 years. Compare that to gillette or shick. Much better shave at a much better price.

I like Astra's they're worth the money and about a 6-7 on the agressive scale. If you're new to wet shaving, give them a try

These blades provide a good smooth shave and can get 5-7 double pass shaves per blade on my medium course beard.

These blades are sharp and give a really nice shave with my MERKUR 34C.Do not see any reason to go back to more expensive blades. Worth the price.

Having tried like 4 different blades and also not having a super thick beard it's seeming to me a little like a blade is a blade. I shave nearly daily and change the blade on Sundays or when I come across a really bad one which every company has one in a 10 pack or however many.

Smoothest blades ever. There is a difference between sharp and smooth. The feather blades are sharp but not very smooth. I have been using a safety razor for over 5 years now so I know how to shave and find that these really cannot be beat. For the price it is amazing. I use the blade once, flip it over use it again and toss it. For a cost of less than <$0.10 a blade its worth having a new razor often.

I haven't tried many brands yet since I switch from regular razor blades to double edge safety blades. Astra is far superior than Derby, Shark and other economic brands. I look for quality, but specifically reasonable price. I am not expecting the blade to last an eternity. For me a blade that is consistent and last 5 shaves which is 5 days of a week is a winner. I believe Astra last longer, but I rather replace it to get a closer shave every time without fighting with the blade which end up irritating my face. So far cannot beat the quality and the price of Astra.

I thought i will give one blade a trial. It is so delicate you have to handle with extreme care. The blade also dulls quickly. I use it to cut origami paper to size. I will be returning the product. If it can not handle thin origami paper, I am not sure it can be used on whiskers or hair. It dulls too easily. I plan to return the product. The seller should make recommendation on what type of tasks this razor blade is suited for so that there will be less return. Thank you.
