Difference?
Canβt tell a difference from cat5e. Think this is unnecessary.

Fast connection
Our home is wifi free. We are 100% ethernet cabled. We read to use cat 8 so we have been purchasing cat 8 cables. This one is being used to stream internet to a TV. It's been fast and reliable.

Cat 8 Cable Makes a Difference
I support a large user-base for clients across Canada. This Cat 8 cable is made very well, improves speeds on slower portals, and looks more like a power cable due to its thickness. Arrived early. I was expecting to receive it on Monday. Kudos to the seller.Highly recommended. If you're using Cat 5e, Cat 5, Cat 6, or Cat 7 - know they are all inferior to Cat 8. Sure, you don't need 40 GBps throughput, but the extra shielding protects against interference that would otherwise cause lag on a network where a lot of applications or tabs are open at once. Ping times also improved. I believe that in my suburban area, everyone has the same ISP, so the network is sometimes compromised with annoying lag. If you are looking for an affordable and endgame Cat 8 cable, buy this one!- Dillon

Great quality product that really makes a difference in speed
Got this for my PS5. Very impressed. Good quality product, made of good material and thick cord which won't break easily. The ends snap perfectly and easily into the slots on the modem and the console. The best part is that it actually worked. The download speed on my PS5 tripled with using this cable. I am quite happy with this purchase and recommend it to others. Remember to get this length at least as the shorter one doesn't work well for most set ups.UPDATE- tried the 65β version and it works perfectly well without loss of speeds. Love this cable.

Thin cable
This 33' Cat 8 cable I received is a very thin one, even thinner than my cheap Cat 7 cables. I have purchased Cat 8 cables of another brand from Amazon before and they were significantly thicker than this one. While I am not saying that thicker cables are always better and that I don't really mind the thickness of cables, those thick ones I have purchased before work very well but this thin one does not perform as expected. Comparing this one to my other lower category ethernet cables, this one has no improvement in performance at all. The only good thing I feel about this cable is that it's light and flexible, but being so light and flexible may mean it's not really that much shielded as claimed, or that the individual wires inside may just be too thin.

Very disappointed at the quality of the 10FT cable.
I ordered a 10 FT cat8 cable (white) and a 33 FT cat8 cable (white).I am very disappointed at the quality of the 10FT cable. The 10FT cable cable looks grey and pale, compared to the 33ft cable that is white.I am sure I ordered white 10 FT cat8 cable, not grey cable. In addition, the 10FT cable is thinner than the 33FT cable, while the 33FT cable is thicker.Clearly, the 33FT has more shielding from electrical interference. (which is better)The 33 FT cable is speced to T568B.2 standard. The 10 FT cable is speced to T568C.2 standard. They are different cables............in color and in spec. Are these cable really capable of 40 Gbit/s transfer?

Worked well for awhile
I work from home and I run heavy data transfer queries daily. I got this in Jul 2022 and around Sept, I started getting lost connection issues. I didn't even consider the cat 8 cable to be the problem. I just switched back my cat 5e cable to connect my modem to router.I have a nighthawk router and tested its hardware/software. Everything was fine there.I called my ISP and we double checked that the internet was still active without disruption. It is possible that there was a compatibility issue but considering it worked for a month tells me that it just simply became defective cable.
