Bought as a present for an Englishman who has porridge every morning.....and he loves it! He says it works so much better for getting into the corners of the saucepan when stirring, and doesn't cause a splash like a wooden spoon. The spurtle itself is beautifully made, and comes with a very nice leaflet and explanation.

This is just a great thing to use. It stirs the porridge easily and best of all it doesn’t end up in a messy state like a wooden spoon does and the porridge slides out of the pan with no mess left behind. It’s quite amazing and so much easier to wash up!

Very different but it works!

I bought one as a present and she really liked, and so did i. So I bought one for myself.It does exactly what it should do, and stirs the porridge beautifully! Well done!

Expensive for what it is

I had never heard of a Spurtle until I bought a package of a premium oatmeal. On the packaging was information that this brand of oatmeal had won the Golden Spurtle award for a particular year in Scotland. One thing led to another, and I ended up purchasing this spurtle. I am glad I did. Making oat meal and oat bran is easier and even more enjoyable.This is good quality and does not feel rough; handles well.

Cela fait un moment que j'en cherche un - en tant qu'anglaise en France, j'aime toujours mon porridge. Je ne pensais pas en trouver un jour sur Amazon, mais voilà ! Un objet magnifiquement fabriqué qui a déjà fait ses preuves.

Never thought I would need another kitchen tool…..wrong! It really does froth up oatmeal! It sits in a wide neck crock on the kitchen counter with my other handy tools for cooking and also looks artsy. Not just for oatmeal either!
