Both my grand daughters "flew" through the book and love this series. I decided to scan it to make sure it was OK for eight and nine years old types and decided to quiz them on their retention. this was because they read the book so quickly, cover-to-cover, hardly putting it down. I like the format and found nothing wrong. After I questioned them, one of them decided a second read was necessary! I'm an old buzzard, grand-pop but I can see why this series would be popular with this age group. If you are not familiar with it, the used books are inexpensive so buy one and have your children check it out after you verify what I already told you.

This book is one of a very large series. We first came across them in The States and then thankfully found a wide range on Amazon. What a find for the reader who is just finding their confidence with 'Chapter books'. Colourful and well written. One of my boys worked his way through them all at age 9/10.
