I liked that the diffrent mats went under the plastic so they were easy to clean and reuse. The straps that wrap around were hard to get around the kids. But all in all good for long trips.

This worked great for my 2.5 yr old for our 15 hour road trip! He loved being able to color and play on his little desk. It was easy to fold up. The different compartments were perfect for storing markers and crayons. The tablet part fit my iPad Air 2 and made it safer to watch in the car. The star design was super cute too. Absolutely would recommend! 10/10

Worked well for my 4yr old in the car

Where has this thing been all my life?! I wanted a good play surface for my kiddo for a long car trip that would prevent lots of little toys from being dropped on the floor. After reading reviews on lots of different ones, I chose this brand. I like that it folds up flat when not in use AND that you can belt it on the car seat so it doesn’t go flying off the lap at every turn. I chose to run the strap behind the car seat instead of it being behind my kid’s back. We just leave that strap in the car permanently and move the desk back and forth as needed. The sleeve for the tablet is a nice gesture, but we have a newer full-sized iPad and the hole for the charging cord is not in the right place. It made it difficult to charge and keep it in the sleeve. If you have a smaller iPad or tablet, I’m sure it would work better. I tried pulling out some of the stitches by hand to make the hole bigger but they wouldn’t budge so it’s definitely made well! It’s also very slim. We have a slim case already on the iPad, but had to remove it to slide it in the sleeve because there wasn’t much wiggle room. One thing to note—the side flaps are not sturdy—as in, it won’t stay standing up as a desk without being on a lap or car seat. The drink holder is a nice size, too. Even though both cup holders on the car seat were covered by the desk, we were able to fit a 24 oz. Owala bottle in the insulated slot on the side. Triple bonus that this can be used as a dining surface for eating in the car. Overall, a great MUST HAVE purchase for an 8 year old.
