Copper Creek DB2410PB Single Cylinder Deadbolt, Polished Brass

This was ordered with some coordinating pieces from Copper Creek to replace the failing French door locks in my home. I can’t speak to this for a true entry door, as mine only goes to the screen porch, but it feels very heavy in the hand, so much so that it’s a little bit painful to install. I didn’t like that it didn’t sit flush against the door, because it has a posterior lip that is larger than a standard deadbolt hole, so it lost a star for that. But it is well made, has a smooth mechanism, and seems really sturdy. A bit futzy to put in by myself, and I’ve done my whole house’s internal and external hardware on my own. With an assistant to hold it steady, it would have been a lot simpler, but, like I said, I didn’t need an assistant for any of the other doors, with locks from other makers. One star off for that, but now that it’s in, it is great.

I ordered this deadbolt as well as other Copper Creek knobs to redo all of the hardware in our condo as part of our prep to sell it. The condo had a mix of different style hardware, some brass and some chrome and just needed a cohesive look. This deadbolt is a beautiful satin finish that really elevated the look of our door for a lot less money than other brands.Installation was pretty smooth and I was able to do it myself. It is a bit challenging to try and mount the lock while also holding it in line, but it's possible. I definitely know which brand of hardware to buy for our next house.

It’s tough to find a double cylinder lock locally. This one looks nice, works well, and was easy to install. I installed it in about 10 minutes and the only reason it took that long was because I accidentally positioned the inner pins backwards the first time. Just make sure the pins on the exterior side are horizontal and the ones on the interior side are vertical—Then it works great!

Inexpensive, fast delivery and fairly easy to install. Had to make the hole bigger on the outside by filing some of the inside of the door. Prob the reason for this is it is an old door and old hardware. Had to buy a file as well. Oh well. My tool set grew. Lol

Did not fit original hole ... had to widen it out what was pain in the darkhole as i could not center the drill due to the original hole already in the door

You could only use the latch on the back of the lock if the key was in it. If you locked the dead bolt, you couldn't take the key out. I'm pretty sure it wasn't the installation as I bought a cheap brad at the lock shop and it installed and worked perfectly.

Used this to replace an existing lock. Installation was easy and straightforward; no instructions required.Lock operates very smoothly - both key entering and turning. Overall very satisfied.

Purchased last year, didn't get around to installing until now. Opened box and doesn't have keys or key code. Too late to return.

Had to uninstall it, return it, apply for a refund, buy another one and install it. Phenomenal waste of time and effort. Bought a schlage.

Lasted all of 3 months before seizing up and had to be cut off the door. Very low quality hence the low price. NEVER AGAIN!

The deadbolt is a little hard to open with the keys, but for the price is ok.
