Worked... for a bit
Bought this one Feb 2022. This unit seemed to function the best out of the 3 I ordered from Aug 2021 till feb 16, 22, for my upright top freezer Fridgidaire fridge. I have the fridge in the garage and as soon as it got cold outside, this thing has died.. I can't even adjust it to kick in.. freezer is thawing my Christmas ham, bread and leftovers! Not impressed

Well worth the cost
I have a Frigidaire model FRT15HB3DW3 and this worked and fitted perfectly. Prior to replacing this thermostat, our fridge was constantly getting so cold, it would freeze any meats we had at the bottom, our milk would freeze solid, and ruin any vegetables and fruit as well. The fridge was just constantly running. I tried cleaning the dust off the coils in the back (helped for a brief moment), checked the condenser in the freezer for any blockage on the unit itself or in the air ducts, and made sure that nothing was blocking the air coming out into the fridge area. The price of this unit is a bargain, compared to getting a replacement unit from Sears or other sites ($80ish plus tax and shipping). The installation was straight forward as well. The probe was longer than the original one, but wasn't an issue (just had to make adjustments/bends to get it to the same length within the housing unit. Once it was installed and the fridge was allowed to run a bit to get everything cool again, noticed an immediate difference. It shuts off more often and isn't running as long as it was prior. Has been installed for a little over a week now and have not seen any ice at the bottom and none of our items have frozen over. Even our freezer doesn't nearly have as much frost on the items as it did prior to the new part being installed.Well worth it, as we did not have to buy a new refrigerator. Installation is about as straight-forward as it gets. Just need a 1/4 inch socket (wrench or screwdriver) and a flat-head screwdriver to aid in releasing the tabs to remove the old part.

Perfect fit. Works great, but the thermostat was not the problem.
Changed the thermostat and the fridge STILL did not work right. Frigidaire 10 cuFt top mount freezer. I live in a town with a river and people put docks on it. Years ago they would use styrofoam blocks for dock flotation; big mistake. Styrofoam has pathways between the foam cells which would allow water infiltration. Eventually the foam would become waterlogged and the docks would no longer float. Frigidaire has used this same type of styrofoam in their fridge. Where the temp sensor is mounted is a 5x3x4 inch block of foam that the temp sensor bulb snakes over and it mounted to. Also the drain tube runs through this block. BAD DESIGN. Water leaks down from the freezer and/or frost builds/melts and waterlogs this block of foam causing an ice block which affects the temperature sensor, so then the temp bulb is covered with ICE. THAT is what causes the fridge to not work properly. THE FIX: remove and replace the foam block with closed cell foam. I cut some pieces from Dow blue building foam. fridge works great now. Been running for three months perfectly. FYI: fridge was only three years old and neighbor bought a new one instead of trying to fix it! Crooked repairmen prob wanted $400 to fix!

OEM Part
The item I received is identical to the one in the fridge. After replacing the thermostat, the fridge works fine.
