These bowls look very elegant but are very simple, as well. I got the 2.25 quart bowl and the 1 quart bowl (which nest together perfectly) and gave them for a wedding gift. I spent less than $40 for the pair, but they look like I spent a lot more. They look simple and modern when used with simple/modern dishes and more elegant when used with silver or fancier dishes.The recipients really like the bowls and use them a lot. They use the smaller one for dips and the larger one for chips or other things. They do keep food hot or cold for awhile and don't tend to "sweat" on the table. I'm thinking of asking for 2 (or maybe 3) for Christmas for my own use.

The size is a little too small to put much cereal in. I like a lot of milk in mine. But it keeps the milk cold, which I really like. Easy to clean and lightweight.

Nice size(14ounce) for ice cream that doesn't quickly turn to soup. Nice looking and a good buy. Recommended.**** 6 months review. Highly pleased with the performance and quality of these bowls. Use them for small ice cream sundaes of one or two scoops. For folks practicing healthy moderation without giving up everything...these and you are a winner.

Bought this for my morning oatmeal at work. Didn’t keep oatmeal warm at all.

Relatively thin steel with some minor surface flaws. Source was VOLLRATH who sent it FedEx but required signature for delivery without warning at time of purchase. Very inconvenient!

These bowls are a 10! I cannot believe how much I've used them and how well they work. We entertain a lot, and I am always bring something to a gathering. I have all three sizes. The 5 quart kept watermelon gazpacho cold outside in July! The 2-1/2 quart is perfect for potato salad or dessert for a crowd. The 1 quart is perfect for dips. Money well spent. Oh and they look like a million bucks on a buffet table. I plan to bring a hot spiked cider in the large one this weekend. Press n' Seal does not leave a mark on them.

This bowl looks excellent. The heat retaining ability isn't as great as I anticipated, but it's no worse than a ceramic bowl. I love the ease of cleaning this and how good it looks immediately after. I use this for staging stuff, holding ingredients while cooking, popcorn for TV, hot soup, cut or whole fruit. It permanently lives on my kitchen counter now.
