I picked up this water bottle (40 oz) when I was working for a fencing company. We used the Squincher Zero Qwik Stik to keep electrolytes in us on hot days. The Quik Stiks are portioned for 20oz of water, so I would use two packets per refill.I started to have "issues" with the straw. At times it was hard to draw fluids up it. I was thinking it could be an air intake issue, so started loosening the top to increase the air flow, and it helped.Last night I decided to cut the bottom of the straw at an angle, and it was 100% the right thing to do. I can draw in fluids as quickly as I want now. Apparently the straw, after cleaning it, doesn't go on exactly the same as it does from the factory and it has a tendency to press on the bottom of the bottle, cutting off fluid intake.
