This is for the Tenta Miracle Noodle blanching basket for Angel Hair Pasta
I did not know they made these and wish I had found them decades ago. I eat a lot of Lotus Brand Ramen and also Jovial angel hair pasta. Every single time you try to drain it, you get 10 or so noodles sticking to the colander and they are tenacious little buggers, not wanting to come off. I cook my pasta on the saute function in my Instant Pot. Now I just put the single sized portion in this blanching basket and cook it that way. Yay! The weave on this basket is extremely fine so anything you might want to blanch that is ultra small, or cook like ramen, this is the basket. It really holds just a single portion well, you'd have to use a lot more water for two people servings.

It does what it's supposed to do!
I've used this for Momofuku ramen noodles, another brand of rice noodles, and when removing the bones, spices, etc. from our homemade tonkotsu broth. The hook used to hang it on the rim of the stockpot is helpful when I need my hands free to reach something else. I used to use a Tupperware strainer or a large, bowl-shaped strainer, but inevitably holding it over the pot would end in some amount of spills. This is narrow enough to lower into a smaller pot when removing individual servings of noodles. I wish I'd had this years ago! I wish I'd had tonkotsu ramen from childhood!! :)

Nice product
I love the look of this strainer, but haven't used it in a deep fry situation. I've used it several times in shallow oil and have a little trouble scooping up things, such as fries. I'm pretty sure it's intended for deeper oil and for that it would be great. It's very well made and the handle gives it an expensive look.

Saw it on Cooking Channel
I saw this used by a chef on Cooking Channel and now I see them used all the time. Great idea.

I am the only person in my family eating whole wheat pasta
It was nice to be able to cook two different pastas in the same pot however clean up was not easy no matter the type of pasta I used

Sturdy and not just for the fryer - Get Creative!
It strains the dreggs form my cooking oil. I'm on a beer battered fish kick at the moment and this helps fish those tasty morsels out of the my fryer like a pro. Well put together and taking the knocks. I've been using it to stir fry as well so double duty for this baby. You see I reckon if I do the stir fry veg it ofsets the Friday fish and chips thing and guess what? I can still see my toes and touch them so it could;d be working despite the fact I'm getting stuck into the beer battered fish like a legend! Go on and buy one if you need one. It's sturdy and you can use it for more than just deep frying... I figure you'd get great reception if you used this as an aerial as well! Get creative!

Ottimo
Ottimo per cuocere nella stessa pentola 2 grammature di pasta separate. La pasta però ci metterà un po’ di più a cuocere. Va bene anche per il riso

great for precision boiling
Just what I needed to insert in and remove all eggs from the boiling water at the exact same time. Works with dumplings, to quick boil them in a pan of broth, or to blanche vegetables. I will be trying it with noodles as well, although the basket is quite narrow at the bottom, so will require an adequately narrow and tall pan for the noodles. Decent quality, and the wooden handle is very comfortable. Very good value.

Sehr guter Blanchierkorb
