Great tool for baguettes
Never used a transfer board before. I bought this thinking it was a bit pricey for a thin piece of wood.I haven’t made baguettes since without it. I make them every weekend that I don’t bake large loaves and most weekends when I do.Getting the baguette from the couche to the pan without deforming the loaf is a bit tricky and often causes some deflation. After 12 hours of work and wait, that’s a pain. This transfer board is finished well. The edges are tapered perfectly and rounded just right. Not sure why I didn’t already use one!

Exactly as described
I make bread very frequently. I have never had one of these before, and after watching various bread making videos, I decided I wanted to try one out. I have not been disappointed. This is a sturdy little device, the markings are easy to read, and the way the edge is beveled makes it easy to transfer the loaves.I use this at least once a week when I make french bread, and am very happy with my purchase.

Too thin and it warped
I bake and cook a lot in my kitchen and was looking forward to a baguettes board to ease my transfer to the pan. Worked great for a few days and then slowly started warping. I believe it is due to humidity in the kitchen, however, I should’ve thought the board would be thick enough to withstand kitchen humidity. For the price, I’m ok with the slight curl. FYI, the kitchen is humid but still comfortable…like having a personal humidifier on high.
