Rinse. Rinse the bristles, always with water streaming down–you want to avoid running water directly into the base of the brush, which can weaken the glue and shorten the lifespan of your brush. Cleanse. Work a small amount of gentle shampoo (we prefer to use baby shampoo) into the bristles. Lather, rinse, and repeat until the water runs clear. Disinfect. Now that your brushes are clean, it’s time to disinfect. Mix a solution of 2 parts water and 1 part vinegar in a shallow bowl. Swoosh the brush around in the bowl for a minute or two (again, trying not to submerge it fully). Rinse with fresh water. Dry. Reshape the bristles and lay clean brushes flat on a towel overnight to dry. Repeat. Clean your brushes every other week to keep the germs away from your makeup and off your skin.

The brushes arrived in a nice thick plastic resealable bag and inside they were individually wrapped which I liked, They had an initial moderate chemical odor that faded after one day, as expected from synthetic brushes. I greatly appreciate that the metal collar is securely glued to the wooden handle, however one of the brushes had a defect in that some of the glue had gotten onto the bristles, but with I was able to remove it with my fingernails and some elbow grease. That was how I learned that the bristles are also secure fastened to the brush head and collar, I just used them for the first time this morning and they felt very nice a great job applying foundation and blending, they are so soft but firm enough to use with liquid and they are easy to wash with soap or olive oil.I would rate these brush on the higher end of the spectrum as far as quality goes, they are not couture $150 dollar per brush brushes, but they are very nice for the average chica to use for everyday makeup. I plan to buy a a few more sets to give as birthday/Christmas presents!

Nice brushes for the price
Shipped very quickly. Nice brushes with one caveat-had to glue the handle back on the oval brush because it came off with first use. Not that big of a deal for the quality of brush and price.I'll edit the review if I notice any more defects though using regularly.

Like the brushes for the price... they are soft, no shedding and a number of great choices, but after about 1-2 weeks one of the brushes broke apart at the center where the metal and wood meet.
