Excellent read (seller-disclose torn pages please)
A well written book clearly illustrating a miscarriage of justice suffered by these 3 young men. Their lives forever changed by the inept police department and biased judge set upon wrapping up the case in their bid for political enhancements. Evidence excluding Damien, Jason and Jessie as suspects was not allowed in court and evidence that would lead to the real killer(s) was conveniently lost or never acted upon. The true killer(s) of Steve, Michael and Christopher may still be free, enjoying their life. Most likely committing heinous acts upon other innocent children.

I was glad that i chose this book out of all the ...
I bought this book a while ago when i was in high school after out English teacher showed us Michael Moore's West Memphis Three documentary. I was instantly fascinated by this story and I wanted to know more. I was glad that i chose this book out of all the options because it was well written and well researched. It was the first time I found out that the police and the people that are supposedly there to protect you can be in fact evil, scary persons. It was a slap in the face how obviously innocent these three person's were that I couldn't wrap my head around it. Just because of how they dressed and what they listened too meant that they were the people responsible it scared the hell out of me!. At that time i myself was going through my emo phase, never a day where i didn't wear black everything and jamming to my hard core rock. It made me afraid of the law because of the judgement they had toward "us". It made me think how many people were right now in jail serving a sentence for something they didn't commit. May I dare say i faith in the law was crushed. You grow up thinking they are the good guys that they are here to protect and serve but in this story that wasn't the case. I thank my English teacher for making us aware of this situation because at that age i didn't watch the news and if it weren't for him i would have never found out about this case.

Better than I expected
I have been following this case since 1993. I have always been on the fence about the guilt or innocence of Damien, Jason and Jessie. I have read every single book written about the case and while this book has a few faults, I realize it was written in 1995 before a lot more information was known. I wouldn't recommend this book as a way to learn the truth about the case. It is biased towards their guilt just like Devils Knot and Dark Spells are biased towards their innocence. If you are looking for facts, go to http://callahan.8k.com/ . There you will find every possible document from the case.

Robin Hood Hills Murders
I thought this was an excellent read. I love true crime and end up reading about 3 a week. I seem the movie that is based on the Robin Hood Hills Murder and I was shocked that these guys could kill these 3 eight year old inncent boys. My heart goes out to all their families. As far as Damien, I awaite for your excution date where you will forever rott on the darkside where you came from. You are pue evil, just like you wrote on your nuckles. As you also awaite for your excution date on death row, I hope your other inmates continue to tortue and harass you like you reported at the end of the book, becuase you deserve every bit of it for everything you did to those boys or anything/anyone else!!!

Better than expected.
This book was better than I expected. It contained some details that were missing from Mara Leveritt's book. Nothing major just things I didn't know. Very good book.
