Historic Houses of New England Coloring Book (Dover American History Coloring Books)

I live in New england, and find it too nice to color so far nice historical facts

This has such great potential. Yet because it was printed back to back, you can't color in with marker but only with colored pencil. Many enjoy using high quality markers and you can't without ruining the image on the flip side. It should have been printed individually like so many adult coloring books.

It’s okay, it’s definitely what you ask for. The houses all kind of seem so similar, and with such tiny thin lines for the slats on each house.Pro: comes with cool researched descriptions about the architecture and home type.Con: very small lines & repetitive designs. If you like really repetitive drawing, then this is for you.

This is a nice coloring book for most any age except for really young kids. It has great detail of beautiful homes throughout. Under each picture is a little explanation and history of the home portrayed. There are cottages, homesteads, farmhouses, and much more and the book displays houses such as The House of Seven Gables in MA, as well as many other homes that have been turned into museums. Some pictures feature beautiful garden front views of the homes and many pictures are shown from interesting views and are really fun to color and be imaginative with. The homes can also pique an interest in architecture or just a featured homes in the book as many of them can be looked up on line for further information regarding their history. Just a simple Google search for a certain home can bring up lots of information and history and show the homes throughout history.

Very nice coloring book. Tells about each house also! What I’m doing is looking up each house before I color it so I can color the house the correct colors. Highly recommend!

Fun for 3 year old + parents

Beautiful homes, beautifully drawn. I love old homes and buildings. I especially like to color them. Having drawn houses for over 40 years I’m very particular. These meet and go beyond my expectations. The paper is very nice considering I mostly use markers. I still place a piece of paper between pages just in case there is a bleed through I don’t want to damage the next page.

Very pretty, so many different styles in here. Although the details are fairly small. I like that with each picture they added information about the style of home and the year name of the home. And different details. Pretty neat!

Bellissimo! Io adoro il New England, e questo libro ti fa venire voglia di visitarlo... questi disegni sono straordinari, dettagliati e curati, le pagine sono abbastanza spesse e piuttosto lisce. Non vedo l'ora di iniziare a colorare...

es sind sehr gute profissionelle Zeichnungen, mit genau richtigen Proportionen, wie zum Beispiel auf Foto. Sehr viele Details, eigentlich nichts für kleine Kinder. Es sind sehr unterschiedliche Häuser, dazu noch die Umgebung, aus Natur, Menschen, also man glaubt es kaum, dass es nur fürs Ausmalen gefertigt wurde. Sehr gute Arbeit......und dann der günstige Preis......schade, dass so was nicht so oft gibt.

I really liked this book and my family will enjoy colouring on the lovely pictures of houses and learning about them and the people living in them. A really useful map is part of the introduction and a summary of all the pages includes a helpful colour picture to use as a guide if desired. The product was delivered on time.
