It has a polyamide housing for strength and thermal insulation, and nickel-plated brass terminals for conductivity and resistance to corrosion. Its temperature rating is 70 degrees C. Screw s enable secure ing of the inlet to a panel, and two solder tabs allow for permanent attachment of conductors. The inlet measures 34.3 x 15 x 20.2 mm (L x W x D). (L is length, the horizontal distance from left to right; W is width, the vertical distance from bottom to top; D is depth, the sub-panel horizontal distance from front to back.) It has an Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 94 V-0 flammability rating, meets Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) requirements, and is certified by the Verband der Elektrotechnik (VDE) and the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) for quality assurance in the U.S. and Canada. It is UL and Underwriters Laboratories of Canada (cUL) Recognized, and marked for European Conformity (CE). This C8 shrouded screw power inlet is suitable for a range of electrical applications with a matching connector.
