Fab product with easy instructions!
This is fantastic! Ordered to use on my baby and have done a casting of her foot so far. Will definitely be ordering top-ups from baby rice as they delivered this promptly, it was well packaged and it's a brilliant product! The instructions are easy to follow and the box includes everything that you need. I made up the alginate and did the casting of my baby's foot whilst my husband held her upright. She didn't seem to mind at all, but was very interested! Once the alginate had set I made up the plaster and poured it in straight away (will leave it to stand as per the instructions next time as I had a few bubbles). This was completely set 3 hours later and ready to paint. I am highly impressed with the ease of this and will be doing a casting of my husband, myself and baby holding hands with the remainder. Thank you baby rice for a great product!

Great kit!
The media could not be loaded. I was sceptical but we got amazing results from this kit. We waited until our baby was in a deep sleep to do the casts and we also followed the instructions EXACTLY as they were written making sure the water was the right temperature, doing a test first etc etc and the paint is quite sheer so a couple of coats is neededI love the results we got, precious memories 😊

Fun but don’t expect perfect results!
Most new parents would love to have a keepsake of their baby’s tiny hands and feet - this set provides you with the means to do it. However, it’s not easy! You will need some extra items to use for mixing and casting - save up little plastic food pots in advance. The instructions are lengthy and you’ll probably find it easier to watch a YouTube video for guidance. It’s a two person job to try and get the baby to stay still with their feet (forget hands!) in cold goo, but it’s a bit of fun to do whilst the baby is little.I bought an extra set for a friend when their baby was born as it’s at least something most parents would like to try.

Lovely product !
Instructions were good , but the little bags didn't work with my wriggling 9 week old , but using a pot worked better , I used most of the product to do my hand holding baby's hand it took almost half of the product and still have enough to do both his feet and maybe his hands ! Didn't like the bronze paint it comes with so bought my own gold paint , got a lovely piece of art work to keep forever ! Made up with this product and comes in a beautiful box if buying it for a gift !

Not at all easy but result was worth it
We have a tiny premature baby, 6 weeks old so hands/feet are tiny. It was a nightmare to do, in part due to her and in part due to poor instructions.my advice is to do 1/3 powder and 2/3 COLD water.. do not use hot water you have 20 seconds at best to get cast done that way.We left it in plaster overnight and removed it in the morning and its very very good. Hands are better quality then feet. Overal its come out AMAZING! not perfect but serves its purpose of being a long term reminder of how tiny she was.Giving 3* as got hardly any out of it for the money (in part due to following instructions and it setting before she even got near the pot).If you are happy with a inperfect but perfect imprint then go ahead and buy. Overal id say it is worth it.

Excellent easy to use, fantastic results
This product was AMAZING. Bought for my husband for Christmas and we tried it this week. First attempt (on wide awake baby!) went terribly wrong. However once baby was fast asleep we managed on the second attempt to get perfect castings! Baby even jolted foot in her sleep but still came out perfectly. We were absolutely amazed! Definitely recommend doing a ‘practice run’ first as the setting surprised us, but once you see how long you get it’s really simple. Definitely needs two pairs of hands 👍.

Details are Amazing🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This product is actually amazing for the price. It can be a little tricky at 1st but once you've made a mistake you'll know exactly what to do😊The water temp does need to be abit cooler though as it sets very quickly but DON'T use cold water as it takes to long to set & baby may move as we experienced🤦🏽♀️😅You could also get away with halving the alginate mixture, therefore leaving you with more to either make more or just to get used to it if you are struggling. We still need to do a couple more but this was our 1st result. The details are amazing as you can see.Cannot wait to try more products by BabyRice. This really was worth every penny💖

I used cold water as suggested by another buyer as it gives you more time to mix the alginate but still sets quick so be quick c
quite tricky to use have to be speedy and follow the instructions to the t, I made a hand of an 8yr child and wanted it on a base so filled the container past the impression with the plaster of paris to achieve this, it has flaws in it air bubbles in both alginate and plaster of paris, it was the first time I have used this but think its too expensive to have anoher go, for my model I used one and a half bags of the alginate and all of the plaster of paris sent.I used cold water as suggested by another buyer as it gives you more time to mix the alginate but still sets quick so be quick calm and dont panic also put vaseline on childs hand so it would slip out more easier wanted hand in this posiion so it can be used as a ring holder all in all pretty good but expensive you will need your own container tip It was hard to get out so use a soft plastic container you can cut to help get it out
