Q: Can the 2.5 gbe port can be used as lan for 2.5 gbps wired ethernet network? (not clear in user manual, seems maybe reserved for mesh satellite only)

It can be used both either a standard LAN port or a wired backhaul to another satellite.

Q: If satelites are to far away from each other, can I connect the sat over the 2.5g port and enjoy same wifi?

I have mine connected via hardwired 2.5gb Ethernet for the back haul and they work great.

It is a just a router. A modem is needed from your ISP.

Orbi only works with Orbi router You can work it with a high speed modem I’m not totally sure but look at all the videos and inform yourself first I’m using it with an Ardis surboard
