Dude, Where's My Car? [2001] [DVD]

Whenever I’m feeling down I watch this film, it immediately gets me smiling and laughing, it’s so stupid and unrealistic that it’s an easy watch and doesn’t age with time!

I watched this one a few years ago with a friend of mine, and we've been quoting it ever since, especially when we're in a parking lot and we can't find his car (which actually used to be a Renault 5 like the one in the picture).The film is full of hilarious lines, that are just as funny as they are silly. So, I just had to have this BR in my collection.There are a couple of flaws: first of all, there are not many extras, just the theatrical trailer. The DVD had a lot of additional content (deleted scenes, commentary track, interviews...), so this BR version is really lazy. Fans of the movie should get both editions.The biggest flaw is the fact that it's a Region A-locked disc (the Region B version is apparently existent, but very rare). So, what do you expect me to do, buy a Region A player from the States just for this disc?....OF COURSE I DID! Dude! Sweet!

Purchased this movie for the nostalgia and was not disappointed. Probably hasn’t aged well for younger viewers, but personally, I very much rewatching this comedy classic.

Unserious film but very funny

Good film. I mean, really stupid, but good film. I mean, I think it is, but maybe it's not. I've seen this so many times since it came out. Maybe it's just nostalgia for my youth. 10/10 would watch again. And again. And again.

No really. This is both amazing and utterly terrible at the same time. This film is difficult to review as it is one of my all-time favorites, however, it is not cinematically very good at all. Would highly recommend for a great laugh with friends, film not to be taken seriously as it is a series of terrible jokes from two stoner kids as they attempt to locate their misplaced car.

First watched this a while ago when it was on TV, and seeing the title I just had to watch it out of pure curiosity. I noticed it gets mixed reviews on here. If I'm honest, the plot is a bit weak. But it's so funny that I couldn't really care less how weak the plot is. The whole thing is just downright silly, mindless comedy from start to finish (I know that sounds negative but really isn't meant to be!) It works for me!

I bought it as a gift. I'm not a fan of the movie, so I won't speak to that. I bought it for the price.

もうヤバイです。最初はﾚﾝﾀﾙで済まそうとしましたが、買っちゃいました。パッケージはほとんど内容と無関係です。ではいいところを。1、主役がカッコイイ。でも笑える。2、見ていると嫌な事が吹っ飛ぶ。3、英語が安易なので生きた英語の教材としても使える。　まあこんな所でしょうか。一般にアメリカのコメディーは日本人には理解するのが困難と言われますが、それは向こうの笑い所は言葉遊びの色が強いからです。例えば自分はオースティンパワーズがなんであんなに騒がれるのか解らない、という人がいる理由はまさにその典型です。実際日本で生まれ、日本で育った僕らには理解できるほうがオカシイのかもしれません。　でも、このゾルタン星人は国が違っても皆持っている、笑いち?「核」を刺激してくれます。見ていて聞いていて楽しい。こんな映画の形があっても良いんじゃないかと思わせてくれます。　英語の教科書には載っていない生きた雰囲気、生きた英語を感じとれる素晴らしい映画だと思います。初めてバカに憧れちゃいました。
