I had to replace a similarly styled en suite bathroom handle with lock which dated back thirty years. This product is a pretty close match (the handle is a little chunkier, and the height and width of the fascias are a couple of mm smaller), although it was far from a simple replacement job (I was expecting half an hour, but it ended up being three whole hours). The panel that screws into the door jamb is a totally different shape and size, so there was a lot of faffing about chiseling out wood, re-positioning, and making new screw holes in order to make the new one fit.However, the main fault is that the locking mechanism is, as others have noted, slightly out of line - so you cannot get it to fit nice and flush with the door handle fascia. I have got it working and locking, but the turn-lock part sticks out further than it should, making it look a bit untidy. I will have to try nudging the two fascias about a bit (to see if I can get things to line up a touch better) and also see if I can also file down part of the hole that the locking mechanism fits through. So, the job is basically done, but it was far from easy - and that slightly misaligned locking mechanism is a real nuisance.

Fitted on a fire door which is in regular use. We have previously had problems with the handle return spring breaking after a time. Also on cheaper versions the handle becomes loose in the plate with metal to metal contact. These have a nylon bush which prevents this happening.

Easy fitting ,looks good and operates easy

Slightly lighter in weight than previous similar handles I’ve fitted so not sure these are the best quality handles I’ve had or how robust these will be over time, but the finish looks good for the price, no surface faults or scratches. The inner spindle was a little longer than usual - by a few millimetres so the handles wouldn’t fit flush to the door. Fortunately had the old spindle to hand which was shorter and fitted ok but was slightly tight vs the spindle holes in the new handles so the result is quite a stiff mechanism. Overall good for the price.

Mechanism faulty short time after fitting. Seller refusing to refund me as outside 30 day guarantee period. The sale of goods act states products should be fit for purpose. This product clearly is not.
