Fit true to size. I am 5'9 and middle aged, and it is very short on me, but I don't mind as I am using it as a swim coverup. Due to the shortness on me, I personally wouldn't feel comfortable enough wearing it as as dress. If you are shorter (and younger), the material definately would allow it to be worn that way. The royal blue color was very vibrant and beautiful. It had a beachy feel to it. In additon to the blue, I also ordered a white one, and it was very shear and I didn't like seeing my entire swimsuit underneath it, so I returned it. I would definately order it in some of the other darker colors though. The gathering at the waist flattering and allows for you to tighter or loosen the dress to fit to your liking.

Very nice material. Cute. Would have fit, but the waist is short and high. Anyone with a long torso, be warned. I had to return.
