The product and its availability is a very good thing as the wire in the garage door will fail from time to time.The instructions provided do not mention the potential risks. Some of the fitting method suggests are potentially dangerous.The worst aspect is the suggestion to use a stout screwdriver to hold the wire in place whilst the cable is pre tensioned and fixed to the spring box.The screw driver can and did fly across the garage causing some damage to another item in the garage luckily not me. The wire released snapped back across the unit just missing my face and eyes. The wire which had broken some strands in the recoil pierced the leather gloves I was wearing for protection.It took several attempts over two hours to fit the new cable.There needs to be much more emphasis in the instruction on the pressure and load needed to make the wires stretch to the position they eventually need to reach. The instruction just imply "feed through pull and pull to this hook"... That does not at all describe what to expect or what is needed.There needs to be more thought about how to safely hold the new wire being fitted in place. There needs to be a better thought out process for connecting the wires which are under tension to the hooks they eventually fit on. The rubber or plastic guard in the wire loop needs to be fitted into the loop more securely.The printing of the instructions is inadequate as the images referred to in the small text cannot really be seen.

Product was a good replacement cable and roller . Instructions clear . It’s a tricky repair due to the spring tension on the door . But once in place door operates perfectly again. .
