The pestle and mortar is a gift. It's bigger and heavier than I envisaged but it's a lovely item and very good quality. It will look stunning on the shelf. Delivery smooth and overall I'm very happy with my purchase.

This large heavy weight mortar and pestle sits on a wooden base and is suitable for large food preparation. It comes with a recipe book with 40 recipes which are varied and quick to make. I haven’t yet used this but it is seems more than capable of crushing spices and herbs for curries and other dishes.Makes a lovely gift for those who love to use ingredients from scratch.

This is a much better quality mortar and pestle set than my old one which is made of a different stone material. My wife and I have used it to crush garlics and chilis recently and the result was extreme good. It was very easy to use and clean. I particularly like the wood base so that I can do the crushing and grinding on my kitchen table and worktop without slipping or scratching the top. Besides that, it was a lot quieter to use thanks to the shock absorbing wood base. What's more, the curve design of pestle provides good grip so it's very easy to use. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately had a very large crack in the bowl.

Very high quality materials, this is heavy duty and gorgeous! Love the wooden base it sits on and gets the job done quick and easily with the weight of the pestle. I did notice that the oils on my skin or the liquid from an ingredient leaves a wet spot on the mortar but it quickly dries and disappears Easy to clean and extremely beautiful!

Great mortar and pestle! Quality is there and the size is a very nice medium-large. Can take 3 avocados or about 6 roasted roma tomatoes, as shown in the pics. Grinds super fast and is comfortable. The weight is perfect for it's purpose. I'd recommended this to anybody.

Llevaba tiempo detrás de un molcajete de calidad, pues hacía tiempo que se me había roto uno centenario heredado de mi bisabuela. Cumple a la perfección, incluso me habría gustado comprar un modelo más grande.

Le produit est vraiment beau et de qualité.Le mortier et le pilon sont en vrai granite de qualité. Le socle en bois n'est pas d'une très grande qualité comparé au reste, mais il fait très bien le travail pour ne pas rayer le plan de travail.Il faut bien penser à préparer avec du riz et du sel pour retirer les impuretés de la pierre et avoir une bonne surface de travail. Plusieurs vidéos sur le net montrent comment faire.Le livre de recettes est un plus avec plusieurs recettes qui donnent envie de tester.
