Good for the price.
I installed two of these on two walls at the top of a steep winder stair in an old house. I wanted more to hang onto than the handrail which is on the narrow side of the winder stairs. It is an old house so the black looks good/ period appropriate to me. They are a bit narrower in diameter than some? But I think it makes them less bathroom looking. They are light weight but donât seem bendy or anything. Like others said the caps donât lock well nor is there a set screw like you have in more expensive versions. I probably wouldnât use these in a shower (might spend more money there?) but very good for my purpose (I glued the caps on with two part epoxy).

Not if you care about appearance
What should have been an easy install turned into headache. I put lots of these up for my elderly father, but my favorite brand is out so I thought I'd try these.First, it came snatched. I was not using it in a place I cared about appearance so I put up with it.Second, the covers that slide over the brackets to hide them were so tight, I ended up scratching it even more when I slide them onto the bar.Third, all ofthe covers would not snap onto the brackets. No matter how hard I pressed them onto it, they just kept popping off. The grab bar is secure, but the cover just sits there as far as I can push it onto it. It stays until pressure is applied to the bar and then pops right off. I loosened the screws a bit in case I tightened them too much. No dice. It is made of fairly cheap metal I guess I'll try to glue the two that won't stay tight.Again, it is functional, but not recommended if you care about a perfect appearance.

Works as advertised, lots of dings
The bar works as intended. The item was well packaged, but there are lots of dings and nicks in it. Doesn't take away the functionality, but it looks worn out before its career has begun :). Still a good buy for the money.
