These Aricsen disposable 7" plates are perfect as dessert plates at a very large gathering, or for handing out samples of food at a tasting. The fact that they're made from biodegradable sugarcane stalks makes them that much better: there's no guilt about disposing of these plates in the trash after use, or just throwing them into the campfire.The plates are a bit sturdier, it seems to me, than standard paper plates of the same size -- though still just paper plates and easy to fold, bend, or overload. The fibers of the material are visible in the plate's texture (photo), which gives them an interesting look. The bottom of the plate has a textured surface (photo), but the serving surface of the plate is completely smooth and waterproof: I filled one with water just to see, and it seems to repel water about as well as plastic-coated disposable plates of similar weight.A good deal on a large supply of versatile and eco-friendly dessert plates, disposables that won't melt in the microwave or crack in the freezer.

These 7 inch sugarcane plates are fantastic. Extreamly strong and durable. We did two tests that other paper plates fail and even some of the coated one fail at. First we reheated some bacon on the plate. as you can see i the picture it held up nicely. Some grease did make it through but not much as you can see from the after pictures but it did not compromise the integrity of the plate which is great. The next test was we filled the same plate with water and let it sit for 3 minutes. Then poured it out and examined the plate. As you can see in the picture the water did not penetrate through and the plate remained structurally sound. These are wonderful plates well worth the purchase. The plates are top notch. A great buy.

I recently purchased compostable and disposable round paper plates intended for household use. Available in two packaging options—150 and 300 count—and three sizes: 7 Inch, 9 Inch, and 10 Inch, you can choose according to your needs. I opted for the 150 count in the 7-inch size.These plates boast remarkable strength and sturdiness, making them versatile for various purposes like serving sandwiches, sweets, and more. The eco-friendly material is a real plus, has a nice smooth surface on top and no smell. It did fail the olive oil test and soaked through to the bottom. When I first looked at the bottom of the plate I thought it wasn't bad, but then realized two plates had stuck together. I also added some tuna canned in oil next to the avocado slices. I took 1/2 a star off for the cheap packaging and another half for the small usable space on a 7" plate. The white paper plate shown here is 9"."Heavy-duty & Microwavable: Our plates are stronger than standard disposable paper or plastic plates, and they are resistant to oil,..." - well, not so much.It would work fine for birthday party cake or a bagel.

These are very good, sturdy paper plates. I like the small size and I can carry cake on them by holding the rim. The only downside is since they are not coated, oil or moisture will eventually soak in. So maybe not for a buffet where you have items pre plated and they just sit there. The cake I referred to had no chance of staying on the plate long enough so they worked just fine for me!! I hope this was helpful.

When they state these are heavy duty, they aren't kidding. I would equate the sturdiness to 3 regular paper plates stacked together. I loaded up my lunch, including a large (unhealthy) scoop of taco dip. Even after about 1/2 hour, the dip did not soak into the plate at all.I would say these plates are well worth the price and would probably save your floor if using them for a social gathering serving walk around hors d'oeuvres. The decorative edge can bend a bit if you don't balance it with at least one finger.

These are perfect for snacks and sandwiches. They're just large enough to hold a sandwich and a small handful of chips, a few cookies, a slice of cake or pie, or a few pieces of toast or a toaster pastry. They're also great for shortcakes since they are very sturdy and do not soak through. They're microwaveable as well, which makes them perfect for on-the-go eating.Overall, these are a good size for snacks and small meals and perfect for hot and cold foods.

These plates are nice and thick! I was pleasently surprised at their quality for this price. I loaded it up with food at a recent party and it held up well even with liquids. Highly recommend.
