Sturdy and flexible.
This was just what I needed. I did not install it on a toilet, but rather near a door with one step from my garage. My parents need a little extra help into the house, and I do not have space for a permanent rail. I was able to get the screws (included!) into studs, and this gives me the option of folding away when not needed. It looks nice and seems will built.

Help for a Blind Person
Installed this at a bathroom doorway to help a blind person find her way from her bed. It works well and should reduce the risk of falling.

Safe and Sturdy Peace of Mind
This assistive device is very sturdy (when mounted into wall STUD, as is ours). It is versatile and space-saving. It stays up when in the ‘up’ position and remains safely secure when placed in the ‘down’ position. It is not very heavy at all to maneuver. We are purchasing two more to use in restroom area (which is how the device is marketed).

Perfect for 1 or 2 steps.
Would probably work fine for toilet, but works great in those areas where you have 1 or 2 steps going between rooms. It folds down for use, then folds up and out of the way when not in use. Use a pair of these if you have room, one on the upside and the other on the down side. And if you have someone with balance problems, or trouble handling stairs, get 4. Install them up and down, left and right side. Be advised. Kids like to use them to swing on.

Good sturdy bar - after some modification
I needed this in the bathroom after my hip surgery so I ordered it before. I tried to mount it with the drywall kit that the manufacturer supplied but when I tried to use it (before my surgery) it started pulling out of the wall. That wouldn’t do, so I cut a square out of the drywall and mounted some extra stud material to the joist that I needed to mount it to, re-installed the drywall and used 3” screws to mount it into the wood. It is extremely solid and it has been fantastic for my stability after the surgery.

Good product but verify space that it will be put
I liked the product and it was very sturdy. I had to return it because after changing out the toilet there wasn't space for the plate that you attach the wall. Verify that space if you will be changing out anything else in the bathroom such as the toilet or sink. It has to attach to a stud and with the new toilet it wouldn't fit so I returned it. The seller was great and no issues there. I would reorder from this store again.

Does not meet code inspector rejected
This product is flimsy , poorly made junk. Building inspector made me take it down and replace it with a sturdy product. The makers and sellers should be ashamed for selling flimsy weak support bars for elderly and handicapped.

Great quality, easy install to studs
Needed this for my elderly father. Placed next to toilet so he had support to get up/down. Easy to swing up when you don’t use. He liked that it was more subtle And hygienic than the handle bars that go under the toilet seat.
