I ordered the Fringoo Bento Box for my 5 year old son.He doesn't currently have packed lunches for school and takes advantage of the hot meals provided.However, he does have packed lunches for the holiday and summer camps throughout the year.I originally bought a very expensive, leading brand and hard material lunch box. After only a couple of washes (carefully, by hand), I was unable to remove the water stains and it looked fit for the bin.These bento or lunch boxes provide a perfect alternative for my needs.I selected the Green Ninja Dinosaur Design which comes in an appealing strong yellow with a selection of cute dinosaur characters wearing karate and ninja outfits and throwing ninja stars.The bento box comes with a secure, crossover, plastic latch to fix the lid shut.This 600ml capacity lunch box has 4 compartments and comes with an adjustable divider.It's reassuring to know that the product has been manufactured to ensure the materials are BPA free.I would describe this bento box as a snack rather than a lunch box.You can easily fit in a selection of fruit and nuts, sliced vegetables, biscuits and a small roll.If you are looking for something more substantial and to cover the entire day of breaks/snack times and lunch, I would opt for a larger capacity version.The bento box is very well manfactured with no marks, defects or discolourations.It's easy to wash in a matter of seconds and by hand, as there are no additional crevaces or corners.The product is hard-wearing and durable, and he's used it for several day trips already.Overall, a great quality product at a competitive price.

I got this for my grandson, the cars version, as we both love cars and often go out car spotting, so I thought that he would love this. But when it appeared, I was a little taken aback at actually how small it is.You can NOT get a sandwich in there, unless you hack it to bits to fit, you can NOT get a packet of crisps in, and you will struggle with any sort of fruit, apart from the likes of grapes, raspberries etc, Yes it looks nice, and seems to be well made, with a good strong clasp, that may well be more of a hindrance to a child that a help, as it was quite tight and a bit of effort was needed to get it to open once I had it.The actual box with the pictures on looks nice, and you can put their name on the box as well, so hopefully no gannet child will just help themselves (yes this has happened) and will no doubt happen regardless of the name on it, LOL.Would I recommend, No not really, for a packed up lunch for school you need something larger, where you can easily put in a sandwich, crisps and a drink, for a little snack pack, then maybe this would be acceptable, but definitely not for a school lunch or picnic.

Secures well and looks great. Decent size and I love the partions to keep everything separate. Feels durable and easy to clean. Good value, would recommend.

A heavy and awkward small box which isn't helped by the £10 price tag. Some kids may struggle with the clasp as it is quite tough and awkward to use. The big thing I don't like about this box is the detachable acrylic inner. This inner is absolutely essential for providing a seal within the box and so any damage to it renders the hole box useless. Having an extra inner also adds to the weight which even without food in it feels like it is full. The inner also reduces the size of the box considerably by around 12mm off all the way around making it much smaller inside than the outside leads you to believe.

My nephew loved this.Sturdy lunchbox, nice and secure when closed.The divides work well, and means you can have multi snacks for lunches.Not too heavy and design is cute!

This is a lovely way to send your kid(s) to nursery, or junior school, with their own packed lunch. The usual Tupperware box is too boring and doesn’t separate the contents.The lunch box arrives sealed in a cellophane wrapping. The one we went for was the black ‘Cars World’ model. Although the decals look like stickers, they’re actually pre-installed and a permanent part of the lid. To the front of the box there is a clasp which is quite hard to open. It may be a problem for some kids to open. There is also a label to write the child’s name on.Inside the box is a removable tray with five compartments. These compartments are not huge, and you may struggle to get things to fit. Forget adding a packet of crisps, for instance, there just isn’t room. However, as the compartments are sealed when the lid is closed, you could be things like crisps loose within a compartment, and they shouldn’t go soft.The lid has a silicone insert that’s precut for the shape of the tray, so when the lid is closed it seals each of the compartments. Now I understand why the box’s catch is so firm!Overall, a tad small but otherwise great. I hope that helps.
