Good, robust, smooth
I really like this. I'm picky with my coffee, regular or decaf. This has a robust taste but it smooth. Not bitter. Price has gone up a bit which is not great, but it's a good coffee.

Great tasting coffee at a value price
After years of subscription orders of a more expensive brand and several price increases I decided to try some new K-cups and stumbled on Don Francisco's Mayan blend. What a wonderful surprise. Not only is it a value, it's delicious. Slightly stronger than a typical medium blend without the acidity. The taste is delightful. It's now on subscription where it will stay.

Great taste but some Keurigs don't recognize it.
I buy the Mayan blend in a box of 100 and it's usually been very good value at about 40 cents a pod. I switched to Gia Russa Mediterranean blend when the price shot up $10 a box a couple of months ago, but bought another box when it came back down. The coffee is listed as dark roasted, but I wouldn't guess that based on the flavor, which is considerably better than Folgers, particularly for mixing with Torani Italian coffee syrups (I particularly like it with the Smores syrup for an almost cocoa and marshmallow taste but with a caffeine kick. Gia Russa works even better with syrups, but comes out to 60 cents a pod so I use these when I can get them for 40 cents a pod.The only issue I've had is my mother's Keurif 2.0 machine won't read them correctly. It says, "This pod is not compatible with this machine. Please try any of other hundreds of varieties that do." Well, the company claims they ARE 2.0 compatible and they usually work fine with my 2.0 machine at my house, although I did see that message once or twice there, but lifting the lid and rotating the pod slightly and closing it again got it working.I've never seen that message at work on either Keurig (we just got a new one a few months ago) so I don't know what it is other than possibly the shiny pod label throws the machine off somehow. It seems like I might have seen that error once on the Don Francisco Butterscotch flavored coffee too and my thought was the shiny label causes a reflection on the sensor or something, but it always worked if I lifted the lid part way and tried again and usually doesn't do it at all, but her machine will not accept the Mayan blend pods (if you fiddle with the lid a few times, it'll eventually ask if you want hot water instead and hitting YES makes the coffee as the pod is still in there). Her machine worked fine with the Butterscotch flavor (her favorite) and its lid is shiny too, but not a dark brown label like the Mayan blend. So beware, it might not like your (older anyway) 2.0 machine, but not because it wasn't designed for it, but because apparently some machines can't read the labels properly (I don't know if there's a sensor I could clean on hers, but this is the only pod I've ever gotten that message on hers).

Finally Found My Brand
REVIEWED ITEM: Don Francisco's French Dark Roast Coffee Pods - 24 CountI recently this past year bought my very first Keurig machine. This came after more than a decade of swearing never to become the caffeine fiend that my mother had been in life when it came to coffee drinking.Until I tried Don Francisco k-cups, drinking coffee was basically a daily energizer and focus-enhancer to me. I never thought that you'd actually be able to distill artisanal flavor and roast-mastery into a mass-produced k-cup pod.DF coffee is an absolute pleasure to drink. While I suppose you COULD gulp down a mug of it to help with the mad dash in to work, I personally feel like this product is best (and meant to be) enjoyed, as a coffee maker who is actually PROUD of what they produce would prefer.I've tried numerous other brands. Bottom tier brands taste like sludge, not coffee to me. Starbucks, Green Mountain, whatever that liquid is that McDonalds dares call coffee, Dunkin, gas station coffee, etc. These are all no-goes for me. Tier 2 is like the Maxwell House, Folgers, Kauai, Peet's, etc. Some of these are OK or tolerable, but usually cost too much for what it is, or the flavors are just too sweet or too chemical. When you hit Tier 3 coffee, this is where the flavor and roast magic really starts to occur. This happens with brands like Brooklyn Beans, Black Rifle Coffee Company, Copper Moon, Tully's, New England Coffee, Angelino's, Deathwish, Martinson, etc. But reigning supreme over all of these is Don Francisco's coffee. Every single flavor I've tried so far, even the ones I didn't think I'd like, have proven spectacular. The French Roast in particular was so good, it switched my preference from Colombian and Italian roasts to this richly flavorful, faintly chocolatey taste that I never thought I'd like in my coffee.Cheers to Don Francisco and their k-cups. While I do keep a couple other brands around for company's sake, this coffee maker has become the mainstay of all java production in my kitchen.

Not worth the money
You would expect this coffee to be rich and flavorful, but is very much average. Containers are very difficult to recycle, as every little bit helps. I won't pay full price for an average coffee, so I will be removing the subscribe and save and not continue buying.

Very good flavor
Quite good on flavor. No problems for me with the top not puncturing as has been listed in a number of other reviews.
