My Go To for Backpacking
I give 5 stars to products that meet or exceed my expectations. These do. I bought them on a Friday and the following day went for a 3 night backpack of the TCT on Catalina. This is a ridge following trail with lots of rock and ups and downs. These trail shoes performed extremely well. They are very close to zero drop, but not quite. They breath well, have excellent grip uphill and downhill. I usually take a 12 in trail shoes but ordered a 12.5 because I owned the original Lone Peaks which proved too short in my regular size. The reason: I have a Morton toe (longer middle toe than the rest). If you are looking for shoes with a broad toe box that lets your toes spread out, this is the pair. If you are looking for some volume above you toes, this is the pair. If you are looking for a shoe with a soft but tight fitting heel counter, this the pair. Very Lightweight. Great Backpacking trail shoes.

Like a glove!
As a disc golfer, I was always trying to find a good pair of shoes with great traction and comfortable. Having size 13 extra wide feet, not an easy task. Friend of mine recommended Altras as they have a wide toe box. Got a pair of Lone Peak 7s a couple years ago and found that 12.5 wide is the perfect fit. The zero drop took a little getting used too but I must say, THE best pair of shoes I have ever had.Sadly, after 2 years of casual use, I was due for a new pair. I actually bought Lone Peak 9s but in 13 wide as that was all I could find. While nice, they were just a bit too long. Took them back and ordered these Lone Peak 8s in 12.5 wide."Like a glove!"The new best shoes I have ever worn for throwing some discs.Great traction, great color and very comfortable! The price is worth it!

Son’s new favorite
My son’s first pair of Altras and he’s never going back to another brand. The fit and comfort is superb and they hold up to his very active lifestyle. The foot shape feature is so important.

Great look and quality
Well built shoe. The quality shows and I could see it lasting for a few years as opposed to some mainstream options. Great traction.

Best shoe I have ever owned.
Best choice I made was starting to wear altras. Wide foot was causing me to rub out the toe sides of shoes constantly. I discovered a wider toe box shoe and found these, I will not buy a new pair of shoes that does not have a wide toe box now. I own 3 pairs of these shoes. Alot of color choices, really lightweight and they seem super durable.

Great shoe. Toe rubs through over time.
I stumbled across these shoes a couple years back while in colorado on vacation and this has been the only she I've worn since. (Lone peak) series. The shoe fits greatbi love the wide toe box. The only thing that makes me get a new shoe prior to the tread running out is my big toe usually rubbing a whole above it through the shoe. I have had my last 3 pairs do this. But that's all I can say against this shoe. I will still continue to wear these shoes. My suggestion is if you find one you like buy 2 pairs cause they make new models often of the lone peak and you may like the previous pairs. I personally like the 5 and 7 models. Hope this helps.

Ehh
I bought the Lone Peak 6s and I was blown away. Got them for hiking and outdoors and ended up wearing them working on a dairy farm every single day. Mine are 2 years old and falling apart as they should and as I can’t get 6s anymore I went with these. And they feel like the company was bought out by a Chinese company. Why company’s always create an awesome product and then proceed to ruin it is beyond me. Plus the new color ways kinda suck. I’d pay $200 if they could make me another pair of the 6s
