The tailpad doesn't cover the tip of your tailbone, just your coccyx. The hip pads don't really cover the point of your hip, just the meat below it. And the pads are pretty thin. I purchased this to go under my leathers for when I ride my motorcycle. They're better than nothing and plenty comfortable, but I'm not so sure how they'd do in a mid to high speed crash.

No Chamois pants
Ok pants, fit was nice and protection padding was pretty much where you would expect it to be. Thigh, hips, tail bone. I ended up sending them back because I didnt notice when buying that the pants didnt include a chamois.

ran a little large for me, but just a few mm loose and not a problem for me because I am wearing these over a regular pair of (padded) bike shorts. btw, these TLD shorts do not have a pad, which as I recall was not fully clear from the original product description on amazon.
