It's working well now. Quick set up guide missing vital information you need to set it up.
The quick set up using the QR code in the guide didn't seem to work on the first one I had, so their tech support had me try the Zink method( which had previously worked setting up 6 cameras) . That didn't work either, as the ZMD SAP network to which you are supposed to connect the phone only appeared once for a few seconds after many attempts and many changes to router settings with reboots, all of which are a time consuming pain. They decided that the Greet had a bad antenna and RMA'd me a new one. Same ZMD SAP problem. I was just about to ask for a refund when I decided to try one last ditch attempt to set it up using the Quick guide instructions with the QR code. It worked on the 1st attempt, but I did it a little differently than what the guide asks. Trying to hold the 2nd QR code (the one they display on your phone) up to the doorbell camera while standing outside on the porch isn't the best way. Instead, I removed the Greet from its mount and took it inside. It had been on the mount for a while with the power on so the backup battery kept the blue light flashing. I turned the phone's screen brightness up all the way, get closer to the router, and aimed the Greet camera lens at the phone 8 cm away. I sat down to help me hold it very steady and waited. There's no actual feedback to let you know any thing good is happening. After what seemed like a minute, the blue light stayed on so the Greet was connected. Then it seemed like it wouldn't show up as a device on the Zmodo app, so i downloaded the MeShare app- which is what the guide tells you to do- and it now all seems to work very well on that app and it is separate from the wireless cameras on the Zmodo app. I was thinking that the Greet would show up on the DVR as another wireless camera, but maybe that can't happen if it's on a different app? In any event, the two apps both work side by side on our phones and tablets so I'm not too concered about trying to combine them. It's working like it should and there's no monthly fee, which is what made it worth all the trouble.

Greet Select great value video doorbell.
This camera has a great price point and great features. The doorbell is easy to install if you have an existing wired doorbell. The design of the greet select looks cool and modern. There is a companion app that will ring when the doorbell is pressed along with your indoor chime. You can answer your doorbell when you're away from home just as easy as answering a phone call. By default it will save clips for up to 12 hours that you can archive with the app. There is also a subscription service where you can pay for longer recording times, but I did not find it necessary. My only complaints are that the video sometimes seems below 1080p. Also the microphone sounds muffled at times and difficult to make out voices unless you speak directly into the doorbell loudly and clearly. Also it would be nice to be able to stream the video to a 3rd party program such as ispyconnect, but they have disabled this kind of streaming on most zmodo devices.Overall it's a purchase I'm happy with my purchase and I like being able to keep a watch over my front door. This does the job at a great price.

Would like more instructions
Had this doorbell camera for about 2 weeks. Its nice being able to see who's at the front door. The price is okay. Have not opted for a subscription. You can do a screen shot if you want to keep a picture of part of the video. If the camera is facing west then a lot of the video has back light and the image is dark. There have been times when there is someone at the door but its not recorded, don't know why. Still not sure how to get it to alert me over my phone when someone is at the door. This may be a feature you get only with a subscription but I'm not sure. The sound portion when trying to talk to someone at the door has not been good yet. I'm still exploring this camera and it may be I just don't know what I'm doing yet. Let me know if there is a way to get more instruction.

Great doorbell camera, horrible customer support
I've had this doorbell camera since 2018 and it just now went offline two years later. There is no 'reset' button, the doorbell has to be deleted from the app and taken down for 10-15 minutes then reinstalled. I did get it back working in no time but only after googling and asking a few friends what to do. The MeShare customer support is AWFUL. They may take a day before they respond and they may respond once and you never hear from them afterwards so no issues are resolved. So if I really had issues problems with the device, i would really be in trouble.

Amazing Clarity, Awesome features, Easy installation
I looked at other popular brands and then selected this Zmodo Greet Select. The 1080p camera produces very crisp full color visuals with amazing clarity. The wide angle of the lens gives a far broader view that's much better than some I've seen. The most useful feature is the ability to "pan" the view from your smartphone which is fantastic for most installations where the existing door bell is normally mounted off-center. The night vision capability of this model is truly great, and I test it by monitoring the difference when I turn on a low power consumption bulb overhead the doorway. Installation was fairly easy even though I had to call Tech Support but it was not to do with the Doorbell connecting, but rather with a dual WIFI system I have and wanted some advice on the connection options. Tech support was very helpful and the agent I spoke with was very knowledgeable - another plus for Zmodo. The one feature I can't address with this review is the connection with Alexa because I haven;t installed it yet on my Alexa app, but will update that later here. I'm really satisfied with this product as well as the 2 Zmodo cameras I purchased with this doorbell. Great choice!

Good value for the price.
I was looking for a video doorbell to connect to my existing wiring. The challenge was setting up the wifi with trying to get the camera to read the QR code. I fought it for a LONG time and then finally took it off the mounting plate and held it in mind hand. I then laid the instructions on the floor and placed the camera over the code and it worked. It was a pain but so far it has been worth it. I have had a few times where it takes several seconds from the time someone rings the doorbell and it alerts my phone. As you will see in the picture it looks a lot nicer than my 30 year old classic doorbell. With that being said I still feel it is a good value.
