Chow Down
The birds seem to like this food although I have not seen the large number of chow hounds that other reviews report. It is not often that there is more than one feeder at a time and rarely are there two. One of the reasons is that there are some mean finches and when they are feeding they don't let anyone else to come around. The price is good and the prime service is excellent. I have seen better prices at Wal-Mart but unless I am at the store already it is not worth the time, effort or cost to make a special trip to the store when for a few pennies more it is delivered to your door.

Finches flourish - sloppy but happy
I was forewarned that if I filled a finch feeder with Audubon Quality nyjer seed I would see an explosion of greedy birds. It has been beyond amazing. Yellow bellies, black and white striped tails, black heads, ground hoppers - hungry, feisty, happy birds. And, sloppy. The ground below the feeder turns black with dropped seeds, more than the 'bottom hoppers' can consume. That is the only drawback. The feeder should be located over an area where large piles of tiny seeds can fall without making a distracting mess. Fill your feeder and watch the flurry - delightful entertainment.

Happy with seed, sad about actual size of bag
I knew this wasn't going to be a huge bag, but I wish I had gotten more for my money. I purchased it for the Kaytee Finch Station 2 and it completely filled the feeder with maybe 1/3 cup left over which I just sprinkled on my deck and enjoyed watching the squirrels, doves, and house finches eat. I know we have Goldenfinches here, but they haven't flocked to the feeder yet.

The goldfinches love it
and of course it fills finch feeders perfectly. It arrived on time and the seed was fresh. The reason I didn't give a 5-star rating is the bag was slightly torn, so a little of the seed was lost - not enough for me to complain about, not even 2 Tbsp. I've bought Nyjer seed from other sources and this is a common problem, so just know it happens. Otherwise, this is a great source for the seed.

Read carefully!
I usually by 10 lb. bags of nyjer seed from Walmart, but they have been out of stock. I thought I bought a 20 lb. bag from Amazon for $22.82 which was a great deal. It turned out to be 5.5 lbs. Getting my eyes checked ASAP!

Seed seems fine--package is very easy to use
The birds eat the seed, so it must be fine. The best part of this product is the package! It is incredibly easy to open and pour. I never have to get my hands in it or work over a piece of newspaper to gather the overspill. And then it securely reseals! I feel bad about all of the plastic bags, but it is a very handy product. I will order this many more times.

Fits in the finch feeder
The little yellow finches will eat this stuff. They do, however, seem to like the "regular" bird feed in the "regular" (non-upside down) feeder a little bit better. Still, I hung this outside the kitchen window, and they visit it regularly; and that keeps the bird watchers in the family happy.

Weight of package is incorrect
This product is described as 5.5 lbs of nyjer seed. The label on the clear plastic outer wrapping is marked 5.5 lbs. HOWEVER, the actual product packaging is only 4.75 lb. This raises the cost to $0.34/oz. So I paid for 3/4 lb of seed that I did not receive.
