This is a perfect dictionary for people whose English is their second language!

The books is comprehensive, detailed and easy to understand.

It is very good price, and it is very useful as well. The definition is very clear and easy to understand, which is totally fit for people who are not English native speakers. The disadvantage is to heavy to carry and the 3000 core basic words are not separately listed. There is online version at apple store just $4.99. However, I got both of them just for using them in different way.

Its different. Endless possibilities. If only they had one for spanish 😔.

I have been using its web and smart phone app versions for many years. I often first look up a word in the Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary. If definition is too complicated for me or if I need more usage examples, I visit the Advanced Learner's English Dictionary online. Since I do not want to use my phone all the time, I decided to buy a print copy. I wish they had a hard copy version with thumb indices. I would highly recommend it.
