Wearing our Biosafety Hood reduces the risk of carrying pathogenic or bio-hazardous substances on the hair and skin which could then spread throughout the work place or even be transported home. Our patented technology is to make nonwovens soft and stretchy. This enables our soft-stretch hoods to be form-fitting while maintaining their breathable barrier quality. An individual Flu or Ebola virus does not fly at bullet-speed or maneuver like a mosquito to attack people. Rather, it is carried by airborne particles and spit (from patient's ing or sneezing), body fluid, or blood. It attaches on any surface it contacts and does not have the ability to penetrate or migrate through even a thin surface. The triple-layer structure of VitaFlex's Biosafety Hood can effectively block airborne particles and droplets and will repel liquids or fluids on a patient. The thin, form-fit, and easy wearing VitaFlex Biosafety Hood is ideal for primary head protection. It can be comfortably worn underneath the coverall hood, keeping the wearer protected while the contaminated coverall is being removed. It is easy to put on and securely covers the entire head and neck. While in potentially hazardous environment (ambulance, emergency room, public venue) and wearing a full protective suit is not applicable, wearing our hood as an outer layer over a technical provides a better protection.
