Perception Kayaks Rod-X Pro Fishing Rod Holder

Other people have posted these fishing rod holders do not fit tight. I bought two of these black holders for my Perception Hook 10.5 fishing kayak and they sure fit tight for me. Ignoring some of the reviews and buying these was a good decision ... for me.

Great product

Bought this products as a way to correct the very shallow molded in rod holders on my Perception kayak. Although they were rather expensive compared to other rod holders, I figured that since they were a Perception product the fit would be perfect. Far from it. Very difficult to get into the molded openings and they holders do not go far enough in to be stable. I wound up cutting them town and installing on my kayak crate. There are much better and cheaper solutions than that. That said, the product is well made, tough and durable and accommodates the rods reasonably well they way that I installed them. Good looking product but not worth the price. I have to wonder why Perception just doesn't correct the underlying problem and make the molded-in holders deeper and more secure. There are lots of negative reviews online about their on-board holders. Fix the problem! Seems like an easy fix to me.

it looks good but it is very expensive on the part of perception kayak and it is loose you have to hold it with a bungee

These rod holders work great and keep the rods from swinging around while I Paddle

I bought the Rod-X Pro Fishing Rod Holder for my dad’s Perception Kayak because the stock rod holders were too big for the poles. Unfortunately, this rod holder was a huge letdown. It’s awkwardly designed, sticks up way too high, and doesn’t stay in place properly.Overall, it was just a waste of money. It didn’t solve the problem and was frustrating to use. I definitely do not recommend this rod holder—save your time and money and look for a better option.

Fits right in and hold rod. Could use a few more!!

Fits well in my Perception Pilot and matches the kayak color perfectly. The fit is snug.
