Clean
Clean, as in I was able to eliminate a Picatinny rail on my Hells Canyon X-bolt, allowing the scope to sit at the perfect level on my rile. This eliminated unnecessary weight and no need for a buttstock pad. Super happy with this. Even though my scope is black, the rings matched my rifle finish.

I have the hells canyon max long range .270 and i put a 42mm scope on it with these rings. With the scope scooted all the way forward the front of the scope just slightly touches the barrel. I am going to try it like it is and see how she rides. I know they say the barrel vibrates and scope shouldn't touch. It gets hot and could make scope hot. Its a bolt action, I'm not going to be rattling off rounds and making it hot and the scope touches very slightly. Its low which is good and its a burris so its got a forever warranty. Changed my mind and returned these and got the medium same brand and type and it fits perfect now.

Awesome for the new 6.5
I have not had more than one rifle my whole life, and so it was a bit intimidating getting all of the right components to get it ready for hunting season. I followed the Talley guide online and it was dead accurate for sizing. The installation says you don't have to use a torque wrench but I highly recommend it. Especially for some of the nicer scopes out there, the last thing you want to do is bend the aluminum. The best part about these rings is that they match the finish of the action and barrel perfectly. I am a little OCD so that was a relief when I saw the colors.

Excellent scope rings
Bought these to mount my Vortex HST on a Browning HCLR with burnt bronze ceracote finish. The mount was very secure and the color matches perfectly.
