This is a great little holder for my Lenovo IdeaTab 8 inch tablet and I bought it simply for the fact that it is made in the USA. My only complaint is that I can already see that using it on my lap is going to be a problem because it is just too short and a bit overfilled so that it rolls around easily kind of defeating the purpose it was made for. You have to be very careful too that you don't lose your tablet because the weight of it causes this to roll. I use my tablet to Skype and was looking for something to just hold the tablet in place so I didn't have to hold onto it all the time. Hopefully with use the stuffing will settle down a bit so it isn't to tippy. If it were about twice as long and tall and about half again as wide it would probably be perfect.

I rarely bother to write reviews -unless- something is REALLY good -or- REALLY bad.This product is REALLY good and the customer service is the BEST I've seen in decades (and it's not outsourced to another planet - it's directly from the company, which is located in South Carolina). Another major plus, is it's made in America - not in China and not on Mars.When I first started looking for stands for the Kindle Fire HD 8.9" and the iPad 4, I was looking at rigid stands (which are fine for their purpose - i.e. using it on a desk or a hard surface). I wanted something which I could use while sitting in a chair or in bed because holding up a Kindle for two hours can get really annoying. I couldn't even rest it against my legs, because the Kindle has a flaw - a big one. Some genius put the speakers in the back, rather than the front, so while the picture is great, the sound was useless. I found that when I flipped the Kindle holder back on itself, it deflected the sound forward somewhat, which made it better, but when I held the Kindle with both hands where the speakers are located, my hands acted as sound deflectors, and then the sound was great. But, as I said, that can get tiring. I work hard, so I don't want to work when I'm trying to relax.The point of all this, is that using the Lap Log makes holding the Kindle (or whatever device you have) unnecessary. It also conforms to whatever position you want it to be, and no matter if I have the Kindle in the portrait or landscape mode, it won't tip over the back of the Lap Log.You can also remove the wooden insert and it will double as a pillow or a headrest, and you can even take it on the plane, so you don't have to pay extortion rates airlines are charging these days for so-called `extras' (all of which used to be standard).There are two wooden inserts upon which your device rests. The `regular' one, which is 1/2 inch wide, and the `wide' one, which is 1 inch wide. If you order from Amazon, you can look up the contact info for Bamboosa and send them an email with your order information and specify which insert you'd like. (I'd put that info here, but I don't think Amazon allows that. They're very easy to find - just Google Bamboosa.) If you order directly from their site, you can specify which insert you want right on your order.If you're hesitating because it's $39 (as of this writing), I would suggest looking up a whole lot of other rigid and adjustable stands and compare the prices and reviews. In *my* personal opinion, this was the best product I could get. It's worth every penny, and you're supporting American workers. It's also really great to talk to actual human beings on the other end of the line (or email), who don't treat you as if you're a number and (as with some other companies), don't make you feel as if you're interrupting their eight hour lunch 'break!I hope their business flourishes...

This was for my husband that suffers from essential tremors which sometimes made it difficult to hold the Kindle still while reading. Problem solved with the Lap Log! The customer service of this company is like no other and I'll tell you why.When I placed the order from Amazon for the Lap Log, I wrote to the company asking if the standard wood ledge would accommodate a Paperwhite with the cover folded back. I immediately go a reply from Mo that the standard ledge would work just fine, but that if it didn't let them know and they would send out the wider ledge.My husband and I were both thrilled with the Lap Log and his reading time is so much more pleasurable whether he's using it in his lap or on his desk.Unlike other reviewers our package did not contain extra hulls. I emailed Mo again and asked about that and he assured me that if we need extra to just let him know. From what I am learning about this company, his word was good and I thought no more about it.Well, today I received another email from Mo apologizing for not just sending out the extra hulls when I first notified him. He's sending them now before we may actually need them. How's that for customer service!!!!!!This is a great product that we highly recommend and dealing with the company is so refreshing in this day and age of what we've come to expect in customer service.

Must Take Ipad Cover Off to UseI ordered this as an alternative to Renegade Concepts' LAP PRO - Stand/Caddy ($30)[...]Reviews said it worked better even at $54 (includes $8 shipping whereas Renegade was free shipping).Unfortunately it's not much use to me with my Ipad 1, Kindle Fire, Or Nook Tablets -- all in cases/covers. They will not fit in the narrow wooden holder. I am not going to yank the case off to read in bed!Renegade's Lap Pro has no such problem.

This company is amazing. I ordered 2 of these for Christmas presents through Amazon and was suppose to pay $32.00 in shipping (2 day but I really didn't need 2 day..I had other items in my cart). I didn't mind because I really liked them (and all the other great reviews sold me and made in the USA never hurts). Well, about 10 minutes after I purchased them I received a phone call from Moe at the company. He said that he noticed I lived in VA and offered to ship it Priority (instead of express) for FREE and said it would get here on the same date. I was amazed! Of course, I said yes! He then said he owed me $32.00 and would send me the money. I decided to just take the money and apply it towards another Bamboosa ereader stand. He said he would send me 3 and call it even! Folks, you won't find a better company or a more customer friendly company than these people. When the e-readers arrived they were very nicely wrapped in tissue paper with a cute Bamboosa sticker-exactly like what you would get at a little boutique. That was a nice and unexpected touch! Even though they were gifts, I had to try it out for myself! They are very well made and not cheap looking at all. It worked perfectly and my son, husband and Mother-in-law will love them. Thank you Bamboosa!! I will CERTAINLY do business with you again...and I hope others do too! Go USA!

Brill to use on lap, bed, or table. Fits I pad/phone great. Love the fact you can use it as pillow when travelling.

Bought this for my husband to use in bed with his iPad. He loves it so would definitely recommend as a present to anyone with an iPad.

Works with 12" Samsung tablet, even vertically, though not as ideally as it may with smaller devices. Either way I really like this product, glad I purchased, it's very convenient for holding your tablet or kindle while you're reading.
