I thought this pump was a real WINNER, until it corroded one week later and quit working.
In my opinion, here is all of what I think--Received on May 26, 2021. I put it into my pool on Memorial Day, May 31. Less than a week later and this "stainless steel" pump is all corroded and stopped working by June 4. What initially was plated, I guess, and looked like stainless steel, but looks like corroded copper. I used it vertically in my swimming pool to pump water to my solar heater collectors on my rooftop. It worked beautifully for the first few days, then it lost its pretty stainless steel finish and looked like corroded copper, yet kept working. Now, all the water inlets are corroded and dripping with rust too. It worked yesterday, but not today. In such a short time, this corrosion resistant pump went bad and no longer works. It still pulls current from my solar panel, but no longer pumps water and does not even oscillate like it did when it was working. The Ph of my pool is 6.8 which is nearly neutral--just slightly acidic. When we swim, it does not hurt our eyes. How can this have caused such damage in such a short time if this is supposed to be stainless steel? I bought it because the ad made it sound corrosion resistant, and I already had a solar panel to run it. I thought it would last for years and save my energy bill. The "good price" was simply too much money for only a week of service. And I thought the ad was deceptive when it said, "Stainless Steel." I have seen stainless steel prevent corrosion before, but this is not the quality I was led to believe it was. Now, the corrosion from it has stained my pool interior. What are the next steps to resolve this issue, I ask myself. Sometimes a good deal should be declined in favor of a better value.

Wire sucks.....But the pump works well.
Direct connected to 36v panel to pump water. Works well. Body is stainless and seems to be a good material. Screws on the body are plain and rusting quickly. Wire seems copper but has corrosion problems and is very thin and of poor quality but works. Just shy of a home run in terms of quality.

Lacks pressure.
I’m running this pump through inch and a half poly out to 50 feet. With about 5 feet of elevation I’m only getting a trickle coming out of the end of the pipe.

It performs. Here's some performance figures
Pump in pond about 1ft below surface (in 4 inch pipe with filters on end. Pumped 2000 ft thru 3/4 polypipe with several check valves. Max rise about 45ft, net rise at end 35ft above the pump.Powered by one 300 watt solar panel directly connected to the pump. With good sunlight:With closed end of pipe: 32 psi at the end, 62 psi at the pump.Open end of pipe: 1-2 GPM; 40-50 psi at the pump. about 200 gallons per day (in august).

Works well, but seems to be broken after 15 to 20 hours of use over 3 months time.
Pumped well and quietly when it worked. But now sounds and feels the same as before, but simply does not pump water. I made sure there are no obstructions. I'd say it ran 15 to 20 hours over the 3 months it works. I'd like a refund or replacement.
