I misplaced my previous USB-A to lightning cable, so I needed to get one to be able to plug my iPad in while using it to run my digital mixer. I used the original wall wart that came with one of my iPads to connect it. I'm not sure how hot my original cable ever got, but the one I used out of this package seemed to get really warm; though full disclosure, the screen was on the entire time and the charge went pretty slowly until I turned it off. Once I turned the screen off, it charged much more quickly - and a lot less hot. The variety of different sized cables are great, they do the job of charging your iPad, might work better with iPhones but I'm not sure. Overall it's exactly what I needed, but I just wouldn't leave it plugged in if you're not going to be there to unplug it if need be.

These are great, we just got new furniture and they have usb ports, so the epitome of awesome, to be able to charge the phone while sitting on the couch, they work great

Works great at a cheap price.

These are solid rugged braided cords that will last through a lot of abuse. Love that this package had a variety of lengths so it will be various needs - in car, in bedroom, etc. Not every place needs a long length but when you do, there is a cord for you. I bought these for my mentally challenged son who is very rough on his cords. So far the one I have given him is still working after several months.

They don't last super long. But about a dollar per cable. Not too bad. You get what you pay for.I would rather buy a value pack like this, than one cable that claims to be better than the others. I can't imagine there are any truly indestructible lightning cables out there.
