The media could not be loaded. Had to drop a star because it came covered in white marks and greasy dirt. After I wiped it off (which pulled off as a black sludge), I was able to add some fire pads and bioethanol fuel in this and found it fits perfectly in my (soon to be replaced) fireplace.I like the flame this accommodates, it I bigger than I thought and looks great in the fireplace. I might feel it’s a bit big for a dinner table!Of course bioethanol fuel doesn’t last too long (nothing to do with the burner itself) - 1 litre burns for about an hour, at £6 a pop - so it will be used as a treat only.

I bought this for our bedroom as a Christmas present for my wife. I actually chose this particular one because of its dimensions (it needed to fit in a specific place), but I'm so happy with it overall that I don't think I could have chosen a better one anyway. The concrete-like ceramic looks great and is much nicer than the metal of the other one we have.It's small and simple and works really well. I added some ceramic wool, also bought from Amazon, to absorb the fuel and help prevent and spills if it was to get knocked accidentally. That's actually not very likely anyway though because of where it's positioned and the fact it's quite heavy and sturdy.I wanted it mainly for effect but the fact it gives off a good bit of heat too is excellent. It really warms up the room in a few minutes after lighting it. Don't get me wrong, it's not the equivalent of a proper fireplace or an electric heater but as a bit of additional heat it's more effective than I ever would have expected.The flames are low and blue at first, taking a few minutes to build up into taller yellow flames. It's really pretty to look at, and very calming. I'd say a full load of fuel lasts for about an hour, but the time can be extended by partly covering the top with the supplied metal cover. We tend to keep it about half covered, which gives a more gentle, longer lasting flame.Obviously as it's being used in a bedroom we have to very careful. I've installed a smoke alarm and we have a fire extinguisher nearby, just in case.

The media could not be loaded. So lovely for our fireplace. Like reviews before, for various reasons I’m not able to go for a solid fuel fire right now. This is an affordable way to have an instant natural flame without all the mess and stress. It’s lush!

Unfortunately there was a chip on the corner of the fire pit which was very noticeable.

The media could not be loaded. I will be the first to write a review on this cause it’s soo good. Literally I absolutely love it! Turned off all lights and lit it in my living room to try it until the better weather comes for it to go outside on the table! So easy to light with a gas lighter, gave off good heat and the flame is beautiful, the grey holder looks so elegant and looks really more expensive then what I paid, it’s nice and heavy and really well made.does give a smell so open a window if your having it indoors (you have to expect that your lighting gas) I literally love it and can’t wait for the summer evenings relaxing by it! Would recommend 100%. Thank you

Lasts just under an hour when full. Gives a good heat.
